Ok, but not awesome

I do enjoy Christy Barritt a lot as an author. Her storylines aren’t usually all that deep but they are enjoyable. I have been listening to this series and I will possible get the next book that comes out because I do enjoy them in a sense that it is a clean story without so much depth that I have to listen super closely and can basically have it as a light hearted listen. I do really wish they would us a different narrator. There are already too many overly dramatic statements (how many times can the characters’ chests “squeeze” with anxiety in one book?) and the constantly whispery voice of the narrator just puts the drama annoyingly over the top.
