About this listen

The chilling conclusion to the #1 bestseller The Magpies.

Twelve months ago, Jamie Knight walked straight into Lucy Newton’s trap. Both Jamie and his ex-wife Kirsty barely survived. Now, with the police investigation into Lucy’s disappearance going nowhere, Jamie teams up with a true crime podcaster to track down his nemesis.

But can Jamie persuade Kirsty to help? Can Kirsty forgive him for his past mistakes? And who, if anyone, will survive the final showdown? Featuring extracts from Lucy’s secret memoir, Last of the Magpies brings the trilogy to a shocking conclusion.

Absolutely Incredible Series

I think this is the first review I have ever written. I don’t write them easily that’s for sure. I have adored this series for the moment I began the first book - The Magpies. I don’t think I have ever emotionally invested in a story, it’s characters of the plot as much as this, and I hung on every word for all three books. The highs and lows of Jamie and Kirsty were really felt by me as the listener. I couldn’t wait to see if it ended the way I hoped and it kept me guessing all the way to the end. A splendid listen I would recommend to all.

Last Of The Magpies

A superb ending to a great series of three books, feel really sad that it has come to an end.
This series by Mark Edwards sould be made into a TV series it's that good.
Elliott Hill was the making of this audible book, very well read indeed.
This last book did get its happy ending after all.
Recommend to anyone who loves this genre, you won't be disappointed.

Disappointed

Too short - waste of a credit in my opinion:-(
But good to hear what happened to the characters

What a journey!

What a journey. Gutted for your agent who dumped you when he didn’t think you were going to be a success.

Read no further if you haven’t read the Magpies or Murder of Magpies!

A stunning conclusion to a dark and twisted thriller. Full of intrigue a mystery a long the way.

I have thoroughly enjoyed this series and the final novella didn’t let me down and was a fitting conclusion.

I am unsure if I would want to live in Mark Edwards mind but I am sure that I would like to read what comes out of it.

Again not worth a full credit

Although a thrilling conclusion to the fantastic series, as in Murder of Magpies it is too short and not worth the credit and the two novellas “Murder” and “Last” should be bundled for a single credit. Both of these final two instalments feel a bit rushed and I would have rather the author made a full novel for each of the final two instalments and set them as a proper trilogy. However that said Mark Edwards still manages to captivate his audience until the very end. I would still recommend to fans of Magpies but would suggest saving your credit and buy the kindle edition instead.

Recommend this trilogy it will grab you in and spit you out 👌🏼

Ok so my review for the 2nd book in this Trilogy - A Murder of Magpies wasn’t so great, but the last book WOW now that was more like it, it was left me satisfied at the end 👌🏼 Again so many twists and turns and just when you have it all worked out BAM it throws in a curve ball 👌🏼
I really do recommend this novelette trilogy it’s a good read and will keep you wanting more 📚🐛🤓📖
