About this listen

He is watching her…

Alex Parkinson is in love with his writing tutor, Siobhan. He has never loved anyone like this, but how can he convince Siobhan that they are meant to be together?

So Alex stalks her on Facebook and finds out where she lives, buys her presents using her own credit card and sends her messages telling her exactly what he wants to do to her. He breaks into her house, reads her diary and secretly listens to her while she takes a bath.

Isn’t that what all lovers do?

But when a love rival appears on the scene, Alex has to take drastic action, and soon a young woman lies dead after tumbling from the roof of her house. Now there is no-one standing in the way of Alex and his true love. But someone is watching Alex too and he is about to discover that there is a thin line between love – and hate…

Awesome Book, Loved it.

Would you listen to Killing Cupid again? Why?

Yes, definitely. This was a great story with fascinating characters whose behavior was at times baffling, often naughty, with a surprising hint of hilarity. Siobhan is looking for Mr. Right but she knows Mr. Wrong when she sees him...doesn't she? Alex is in love with his dream woman and just won't give up, until he finds a real-life girlfriend and his life is suddenly so...normal? Insight into the human condition of love and romance and the dynamics of the heart was fascinating.

What about Bea Holland and Oliver J. Hembrough ’s performance did you like?

Great narration, perfectly played.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I would listened to it straight through, with breaks for lunch :-)

Any additional comments?

Really enjoyable book with laught out loud moments and plenty of 'what was he/she thinking?' I loved it and highly recommend.

different

Enjoyed it but found the ending a little flat/sudden. Didn't grab me as much as others of his.

Excellent fast paced thriller with a disappointing ending

I absolutely loved 95% of this book until the ending. I have really enjoyed everything from these Authors and all of Mark Edwards solo novels too, but I can't help but be really disappointed with the ending. It just stopped dead, leaving a lot of unanswered questions. I honestly thought my book had a missing chapter or something. I just don't understand what the Authors were thinking?? Unless a sequel is planned. Such a shame as the rest of the book was fantastic

Not sure if I missed something.

The authors' books are usually graphic and fast paced. I.e. Forward Slash was a good old fashioned horror with an up to date twist. I was hoping for more of the same. Although this plot is somewhat original, I kept expecting a big twist or turn. It was a good story but not the sort of page turner I like. It follows the fashionably diarised format from main characters which I do enjoy and having male and female narrators was a positive. Alex was certainly quite a creepy character and Siobhan had depths, in the end it just felt rather 'to be continued....'

Finished rather abruptly

Overall ll a great story but I felt that the ending was rushed. I enjoyed the suspense and the twists in the plot. It was just the very end that didn't live up to my expectations.

Very Poor Ending

Storyline was strong and the characters were interesting. However by the time we got to the end we were waiting to hear about the fate of Alex. The book ended abruptly and we’re none the wiser. Very disappointing and can’t recommend the book

A bit bawdy

This book is a bit bawdy but quite funny and very well written. I nearly didn't keep listening to it when I realised the subject matter but I'm glad I did. A few twists and turns makes you stay with it.

Well, that was unexpected . . . . . .

Any additional comments?

This is a really engrossing book. The development of the characters was fascinating and plausible. I don't want to say any more about that because it was all so unexpected and I don't want to spoil it for others.
