Good Overview on the Basics
This guide is a great starting point for anyone who suspects a loved one is dealing with dementia. I live that the author goes over the symptoms of natural ageing versus dementia...for someone who has never dealt with an ageing loved one the two could be easily confused. I also like the chapter on Advance Care Planning, that is a extremely important part to figure out before your loved one is too far gone to give any input. I would suggest this guide to anyone dealing with this medical issue.

She also goes over all the different foods that can help delay it. She even goes over a self-care for the caregiver and advance care planning.

A must have
The author explained the devastating experience of her mom living with dementia. The author goal was to made people aware of old age aging a natural life cycle and dementia delusion, impulsion, anxiety. The author explains the different stages and their length and what to expect as well as different types of food such as fish, nuts, avocado and olive oil needed for greater cognitive function. It is a well needed guide for caregivers, family members etc…

a beautiful guide on dementia
This is quite a hard topic to read about but the author did it good job of being personal while being informative. This book is an excellent tool and reference for anyone having to face a loved one having dementia. This is quite an emotional listening, the mention of his own experience made it quite relatable and showed how deeply he cares about this topic. This book helps you to stay strong, while also supporting your loved one. This is a beautiful book, I advise it to anyone who wants to learn about dementia and its consequences

Solutions to a serious topic
Much-needed information is taught in this book. I am now able to tell the difference between dementia and normal forgetfulness. Knowing this will drastically improve your ability to care for the people suffering from these conditions. Some of the old people at the senior home nearby, seem to be losing their minds. It's vital that as their care takers, this information is shared and learned by all. The narration is great and easy to follow.

So Important
Dementia is such an awful disease, which is why this book is important. It's so helpful to know the difference between old age forgetfulness and dementia because if dementia is caught in its early stages, its progression may be able to be treated/slowed. My fiance's father has dementia and at only 66 years old, he can no longer speak and does not remember his wife or children. This book covers important topics such as the signs and symptoms of dementia, ways to prevent memory loss, and tips for caregivers. I highly recommend this audiobook to anyone looking to gain a better understanding of this important issue.

Really helpful guide
What a great book! The author did a fantastic job explaining dementia. Since my mother, brother, and I share a home. My mother has dementia, which makes it more difficult to care for her and understand her, but I now feel like I can do both of those things better after listening to this amazing guide. We appreciate the author's wonderful efforts. Plus, the narrator's voice was soothing; his voice makes this audiobook peaceful.
