Summary

Menopause is not a disease!

Do you know the difference between menopause and the cessation of menstrual periods?

Are you trying to understand what your body and mind are experiencing right now?

Do you want to use the most recent scientific insights to challenge negative attitudes, understand yourself better, and learn how to help yourself?

If these questions interest you, then The Menopause Relief Paradox is the perfect listen.

In five concisely written chapters, you will learn how you can take advantage of recent scientific advances to live your life to the fullest. You will also discover a framework to have meaningful interactions with the health-care provider of your choice when answers to commonly asked questions are not satisfactory.

Inside The Menopause Relief Paradox, you will learn:

  • Why the symptoms you experience can be what they don’t appear to be.
  • How our diet impacts us more than we may realize.
  • The impact stress and trauma have on our body and mind.
  • What menopause is and whether varying factors affect women differently.
  • What you can do to go through menopause gracefully and meet your new self on your terms.

As women proceed through this stage of life, there are things that our body naturally goes through that can sometimes be overwhelming, confusing, and scary.

The stigma around menopause is often viewed with negativity; however, you now have the chance to understand what impact our environment, history, and diet have on perimenopause and menopause.

If you are ready to take control, learn fascinating details about your body to challenge received conceptions about aging gracefully, and recognize you are not alone, then The Menopause Relief Paradox is a book worth having and listening to.

An Amazing Resource

Dealing with Menopause can range from easy to infinitely complicated and frustrating. This awesome audiobook helps by explaining what menopause is and the symptoms that show up when it kicks in. The narration is very engaging and the chapters unfold in easy-to-understand language that doesn’t overwhelm with medical and technical jargon. Thank you for creating such an amazing resource

Great book!

Though I am yet to attain menopause, I have close relatives who experienced a really tough period in the pre-menopausal and menopausal phases. Many had to resort to hormonal medications for relief. I was interested in non-pharmacological means of finding relief and this book has answered all my questions. I particularly love the way the author took time to explain the symptoms of menopause and contributing factors to them. Highly recommended.

Useful information

Menopause is no joke. Anything that can help with some relief is much welcome. This book was full of useful information that helps with all of those annoying and frustrating symptoms of menopause. We can't keep menopause from happening, but we can at least make is more comfortable to go through. This book helps make it not as difficult and more tolerable!

Helpful Guidance

I enjoyed listening to this audiobook with its slightly alternative approach to the menopause and the physical and mental health issues associated with it. It helpfully highlights other less obvious health considerations eg heart gut and liver which may need addressing at this time in a woman’s life. Interesting focus on the importance of our mitochondria.

Very well written and well researched

This is a very well written book with a lot of information in it. This book takes a very scientific approach and is well founded in referenced research and clinical trials. I particularly like the holistic approach that is taken recognising the mind body connection through neuroscience and endocrinology. I come from a biomedical background and have been involved in developing products relating to menopause, hence reading this book. While the book focuses on managing the potential effects of menopause, such as the impacts and mitigations to the drop in oestrogen, the advice provided centres on holistic wellness and is good advice for all. I learned a lot!

Precise Material

I really enjoyed every aspect of this book. The thing that stuck out to me most was the importance of the Mind and Body Connection. I think it happens far too often that we forget to slow down and take a breath. and realign our minds with our bodies helping us bring balance to our lives. I highly recommend this book!

Don't go unprepared into menopause!

Those awful symptoms such as hot flashes, irritability, fatigue, to name a few, don't have to be if you know yourself and are prepared. This audiobook lays it all out and explains the basic processes that are involved. Hormone therapy has side effects and is the last step if you haven't done anything to get yourself into shape. No woman should wait in ignorance or have to suffer in silence. This audiobook is brim full with information to make you think and look into the many alternatives that are available.

Fascinating!

Fascinating and full of useful information to understand what is happening in the body and all the hormones that are at play and the role they each play. Extremely detailed yet easy to understand and follow. You can’t listen to this book and not come away feeling like you have a much better handle on everything that is going on. This is a complex topic but is dealt with in a very user friendly way. Learning how you can manage symptoms and what you can actually do to bring some relief makes this a valuable resource. A must listen if you are looking to support someone who is going through menopause or if you just want to learn more about the whole process. Highly recommended. Gets five stars from me.
