Summary
I am about to lose everything.
My home. My name. My future.
My husband was involved in something that could cost us our lives, and on his deathbed, he demands my daughter and I flee Britain. I had no idea he found her biological father, Holden James, in Rose Canyon, and that’s where we’d start over.
The moment we see each other, feelings I’d long forgotten rush over me. Holden doesn’t hesitate to care for us. We find ourselves reaching for each other, even when we should hold back. An excellent 3rd installment
While this could be listened to as a standalone, I strongly recommend listening to the 3 books in order - 1. Help Me Remember - Brielle & Spencer's story, then 2. Give Me Love - Blakely & Emmett's story, with this one, 'Keep This Promise' - Holden & Sophie's story. There is a strong overall story arc which runs through the 3 books, so it would be much better to listen to them in order.
I have listened to all 3 back to back, and they were so good, I listened to them all over 3 consecutive days.
Plenty of romance, with some hot, spicy interludes, but also some excellent plot twists, with lots of tense, life or death action and suspense, which is all part of the overall story arc.
Maximum kudos for using an English narrator for Sophie, who is an English character. Mary Jane Wells did a brilliant job of narrating Sophie.
Zachary Webber is hands down one of my favourite narrators, however, as an English listener, some of his previous attempts at a British accent have really made me wince 😬 Not this time 😊 The parts he needed to narrate with an English accent were mostly really very good. Both narrators did a really good job of needing to narrate large sections in their non-native accent, and deserve high praise for their consistency.
I have absolutely loved all 3 books, which were my first by Corinne Michaels. I will definitely be listening to a lot more.

What a stellar narrating duo!
Sophie is about to lose everything she holds dear: her husband, her home, her identity. On his deathbed, her husband makes her promise him one thing: she's to flee Britain with her daughter, no questions asked, following his instructions to the letter. By not doing so, she'll put herself and Eden in great danger. Unbeknownst to her, he's found her daughter's biological father and is sending them to him.
Holden James went back to Rose Canyon to take better care of his beloved aunt. He left his successful career as a doctor in LA and now works at the local hospital. He gave up on the idea of love... until the stunning one night stand he had in Vegas shows up in Rose Canyon with a daughter he never knew existed. Now, he has to protect them with his life because Sophie's late husband's enemies are after his family.
I've loved Holden since the first book and his story definitely doesn't disappoint! It's quintessential Corinne Michaels - a page turner that has you nail biting while giving you all the feels. All the loose ends of the mystery that started with a murder in book 1 are finally tied in a really unexpected turn of events. Great story!!! What a ride! I loved it and I will miss Rose Canyon.
Note: If you love crossovers like me, this one is perfect for you! You'll see a lot of other characters from other series, plus Sophie was introduced in Melanie Harlow's Tempt. So much fun!

OMG. I had this on pre-order and when saw it in my Audible library, I slipped the earphones on and never took them out until I was done!
How can this happen when it’s a romantic suspense, you have already eyeball read the book and know everything that is about to happen, you ask me? Well, amazing story and stellar performances!
Zachary Webber is his amazing self with the added bonus of a British accent… and a little kid in a British accent. Oh my stars, give me strength…
And where has Mary Jane Wells been all my life?! I absolutely found a new favorite! The range of emotions in her performance is just incredible! I need her to be the female voice of every British character in contemporary romance. Just sayin’.

A mind blowing romantic suspense with an outstanding narration!
Oh. My. Gosh. The suspense, the angst, the mystery, the romance. This book had me in a chokehold the whole time! What a remarkable storyline to end the phenomenal Rose Canyon series! I have loved Holden from the start of the series with Help Me Remember and his book delivered in every possible way! It’s a one night stand turned single mom romance that has all the romantic suspense you could ever want in a book! It is ever evolving, mind-blowing, and so captivating that you will not be able to put it down!!
“She’s not going anywhere. No way am I going to allow her to run around America if she is in danger. The best place for her is here. I know that sounds crazy since we met one time, f**ked, and now have a kid, but I have a kid. I have a daughter. If she is really in danger, I am not going to just let her run off.”
Zachary Webber as Holden for the audio of this book was all my dreams coming true! He completely encompassed everything about Holden and his narration was so satisfying to listen to. Mary Jane Wells also pleasantly surprised me as I am usually not a fan of listening to accents on audio but her voice was pleasing and combined flawlessly with Webbers! This audio is definitely worth every credit between the narration and storyline!

She does it AGAIN!!!
I LOVED THIS BOOK!!! Corinne Michaels has such a way with her stories, I just love the way she mixes in the drama and this story was no exception. This book is about a second chance love story and running from an unseen threat. Sophie has just lost her husband of three years, and best friend of her whole life. On his death bed, her husband tells her she needs to go and go now otherwise she could end up in trouble. She flees with her daughter Eden and her bodyguard. After she is passed from guard to guard and gone all over the place via plane and car, she ends up in Rose Canyon with the unknown father of her child. Holden James is such an upstanding gentleman, he immediately knows the child is his just from looking at her and immediately moves them into his house. Everything is seemingly going well, till they notice things have been moved mysteriously. It escalates from there but through it all they rely on each other.
This was my first time listening to Mary Jane Wells and I jus loved her! I hope to hear her in more books and find more of her narrations. Zachary Webber as always was fantastic, and there was a kid in the book which made me happy because I love his kid voice! I would highly recommend this entire series and this book to anyone who likes a little something extra with their romance.

Book 3 of the Rose Canyon Series:
Start to finish.... this book was everything! Holden.. my gawd Holden. Best book boyfriend.
This story has humor, an ongoing investigation, the feels... oh, the feels.
I was teary-eyed in chapter one. (I am also a big bawl baby... so take this how you want, haha. It had me from the first sentence, I didn't want to put it down. Eden, oh that sweet little girl, and Mama Jane! Everyone needs a Mama Jane in their lives. The banter that goes back and forth. You guys! Seriously! I can't say enough how much I loved it. There was everything in this. Sophie and Holden's connection is. Spot. On! I love this couple. Just go pick up the book or audio (Do both. You can't go wrong either way). My words just can not do this book justice. Go find out for yourself.
Side note: My 2 favorite quotes in this book.

Narrators: Oh my good night, the narrators were awesome!!! Mary Jane Wells is a new narrator to me. She was amazing!! She has become a quick favorite of mine.
Zachary Webber, oh, I love him he brought Holden to life. this is one audible you will not regret using a credit or buying. It's totally worth it.
