Summary
Scarlett is always the sensible one: The sober driver. The planner. The one holding your hair back while you're worshiping the porcelain gods.
Week-after-week, she visits Jock Row with her friends - the university's hottest party scene and a breeding ground for student athletes. And if keeping her friends out of trouble and guys out of their pants was a sport, she'd be the star athlete. Being a well known jock-blocker gets her noticed for all the wrong reasons; just like that, she's banned from Jock Row. No guy wants a girl around who keeps their jock friends from getting laid.
"Rowdy" Wade is the hot shot shortstop for the university's baseball team - and the unlucky bastard who drew the short straw: keep little Miss Goody Two-Shoes out of the baseball house. But week-after-week Scarlett returns, determined to get inside.

This is the cutest freaking thing I've read in AGES. Rowdy and Scarlett were fast friends who fell for each other. It was sickly sweet.

Boring, and young
This book is written like a coming of age high school romance, so it’s misplaced being a college romance. There are sex scenes so I suppose that’s why it has been pitched as college instead. The heroine was more like a 16 year old than the 21 year old she was supposed to be, in emotional, life experience and generally maturity - not just relationship experience.
The pace was off and was really slow at times, with random excessive details in some scenes which made it drag. The romance is sweet, if a little dull. Nice enough, but there’s no way I needed a window into their world as the main characters aren’t interesting enough. By the end the heroine seems annoyingly smug too.
Loads of inconsistencies with things being said, then it being discussed later like it’s the first time it has been mentioned.
Narration was good and probably made the story better than it really was.
Overall, I was just bored.

Too much unnecessary bad language
I’m a HUGE fan of this author...and I don’t normally verbally review...but I’m a little annoyed with her overuse of GD & JC...Come on...the characters aren’t even mad & it’s a “GD sandwich”? No need. One other slight issue with this book...was that the scene never seemed to change... it was boring...but that’s just my opinion. I have the attention span of a small child. On a nicer note...this author has several books on my personal TOP 10 FAV’s list & I am soo glad she’s a writer!! XO

Jock Row
I don’t know why I wait so long to listen to Sara’s audiobooks they always leave me happy not only does she have a great sense of humor, but the romance is top notch. The story never feels like it is lacking her characters are always unique and she usually picks fantastic narrators.
This is not different honestly I love Scarlet's wit and how she isn’t afraid to be herself. And Sterling’s just as much a ham but not in the way you think. He is sweet and sexy in just the right amount of ways. I am so glad I gave this book a shot.

Simple Young Adult
Narration was good. Writing was fine. Story was....well, there wasn't much of a story. Character banter was witty and enjoyable, but not over the top, which is the only reason I continued to listen.

The Very Best Yet!
If you are a fan of the Douchebag series, then you’ll love this book too. It was a delicious slow burn romance with a ton of flirting and swoony moments. The way this couple get to know each other is adorable. And when they finally got together, sizzle! This book brought me out of a reading funk with its sweet courtship, funny lines and wooing. Sterling and Scarlett are one couple I would like to read more about. I devoured this book in hours I loved it so much.

Beautifully written and addictive
Scarlet shows up to a house party frumpy and not willing to put up with the load of BS being thrown in her friends direction. Since her sass is throwing the guy off his game, the next thing she knows she's being thrown out of the party by the team captain, Rowdy Wade.
But when he refuses to let her reenter the party, she puts up a fight like he's never seen before. The most shocking thing that comes out of it, is that she comes back. What starts out as a diversion tactic, turns in to much more.
I completely fell in love with these characters. I never wanted this book to end and seriously hope there will be more to this series in the near future.
Ava Erickson and Josh Goodman only add to Sara Ney's brilliance in Jock Row, the first book in the Jock Hard Series. This trifecta are nothing but perfection.

A MUST for all who need a little 💞 & 🌈🌠❗
I adore this author! Whenever I look at the 'New York Times" Top Selling Novel's or what books win the awards yearly I find myself so perplexed with what our society values as a whole as it reflects this in ways as to what we feel worthy of being 'award-winning ' and what we feel is of only. I must lead by stating that those said Novel's are amazing, all of which have mastered the Arts in order to receive such notoriety. Yet the ONE thing that I have yet to notice that I feel every reader out there could benefit from & enjoy is exactly what THIS AUTHOR GIVES ME EACH AND EVERY TIME I READ/LISTEN TO ONE OF HERE AUDIBLES!!!
THIS: a well written story of fictional characters that are easily relatable AND ⭐as you read/ listen you actually LAUGH OUT LOUD and...drum roll p!ease... when you are done with the story you FEEL HAPPY!!!

Oh I pink puffy heart this book so much!
Oh I pink puffy heart this book so much! I just can't gush enough. I am a sucker for sports romance, and baseball is my favorite sport, so take that and add in some witty banter and I'M SO IN! Jock Row is a delightful slow burn with a sassy smart heroine and a reformed playboy jock who is quite the gentleman. I adored Rowdy's relationship with his mom- her occupation is a fun little surprise. Jock Row hit a grand slam for me. Ave Erickson and Josh Goodman gave great performances.

Not a Realistic Romance Novel
The characters were developed and writing competency fine. However, I personally don’t appreciate novels that are pure fantasy and unrealistic such as this one. If this is what you are looking to escape with than this is your 5 star novel. Absolutely worth the listen and credit!
This is an escape novel with a perfect chiseled Alpha male and a “normal looking” heroine who is thin, petite, pert breasts, delectable little ass, glossy hair, adorable dimple and who loves to bake and keep a clean house. What isn’t there to love about this
novel? For me…everything. BUT to each their own.
