Summary
Zachary Perry is willing to do whatever it takes to win the heart of his mysterious, gruff, and oh-so-gorgeous forest-ranger neighbor, even if it means transforming his very bookish, nerdy self into someone (gulp!) outdoorsy so he can fit into Roan’s world.
But when Roan saves him from a seduction plan gone awry, Zachary quickly learns that a fondness for woodland fun is the very least of their differences, for Roan is no mere forest ranger, he’s a forest guardian—a magical creature duty-bound to guard both the land and an entire population of supernatural creatures Zachary never knew existed.

The story continues with twists and turns
This Magical Mates series, linked to the Chosen Universe, are great books to read and listen. New characters are introduced such as Zachary and Roan. Zachary learns quickly there are so many more things to his world than he thought. And even Roan is surprised by all there is. Ofcourse we revisit Nick and all the special children and so many of the characters, various humans, shifters, fae , vampires and so much more creatures we met earlier on. And ofcourse Zachary and Roan find their hfn/ hea.
Michael Dean is always a pleasure to listen to when he brings that bit that makes it a great listen to an already wondwerful book.
