Summary

Simon just wants to run his antique shop in peace.

But then he finds a small mysterious box that’s (probably) haunted, and his shop is broken into by the hottest man he’s ever seen who then steals said creepy box.

Now demons are after him and his only hope is to trust the tall, muscled, combat-boot-wearing thief who claims to be the son of a fallen angel.

Galen is charged with protecting humanity from dark forces. Cursed with Wrath, he’s hot-tempered and spends his days fighting demons and trying not to kill his six brothers when they irritate him.

His number one rule? Never fall in love. But then he meets Simon, a clumsy human who asks way too many questions and is—unfortunately—a total demon-magnet, and he starts breaking his own rules.

What’s inside the box, and why do the demons want it so badly? One thing is for sure… Simon can kiss his peaceful, ordinary life goodbye.

Book 1 in the Sons of the Fallen series. A low-angst urban fantasy MM romance featuring a grumpy half-angel and the human he swears he doesn’t like (he’s lying), seven warriors representing the deadly sins, a seaside mansion where they all live, banter, a snarky demon, and a HEA.

A very good start of a new series

Who really cares that the plot is weak when the romance is sexy and sweet!? 😍
Seriously, the plot was a bit weak and almost not existent in the middle. But the romance was really good and the best part of the book.
The narrator also did an amazing job.
I’m impatiently waiting for the next book now.

Thrilling series!

The audiobook got me hooked on the series.
I’m crazy for supernatural/paranormal sagas and the book hit all the marks for me. Thrilling, funny while also emotional, with a promising plot and outstanding supporting cast. Also, a good pace throughout.

Nick J. Russo did an amazing job, as usual! Looking forward for the next release.

Perfection

Having LOVED the book series, the audio was eagerly awaited and didn't disappoint. The narrator brought out character nuances that were really subtle but added so much depth. The story is a sweeping fantasy series and this is the perfect first installment.

Wow!

I’m not normally into paranormal stories, but someone recommended this series for fans of Onley James’ Necessary Evils (which, I definitely am!). Galen has a very similar vibe - warrior brothers, outcasts from regular society, who keep the rest of the unknowing population safe. Plus, we have uber-tough, hunky, “doesn’t do relationships” Galen fall for sweet nerd Simon. Really enjoyed the storytelling here, the found family, the smoking heat, the snarky humor amongst all the action scenes, and especially *loved* Nick Russo’s smooth narration. Looking forward to the rest of the series coming to Audible!

Galen

Impossible to love this any more than I already do. Nick J Russo is the perfect narrator for this series. He handles a large cast of characters so very well, and never fails to make an amazing story even better.

Please hurry and take my money for the rest of the series!

Great book, even greater audio

I've probably read this series a million times by now LOL but no matter how many times I read, it gets better and better each time.

When the audio for this came out, I didn't hesitate on purchasing. Usually, I'm picky about narrators but decided to put all my faith in Nick Russo, and he did not disappoint.

He captured each of the characters voices perfectly and was consistent in those voices throughout the entire book. The emotion he put behind the voices was top-notch as well.

Can't wait for the rest of this series to get audio because I will definitely be purchasing.

READ THIS SERIES AND LISTEN TO THE AUDIO! YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED!

I NEED the rest !!!!

I read / listen to a ton of m/m romance particularly paranormal. This one is easily one of the best ones I’ve come across. The story and the narrator are top notch. My only gripe is the rest of the series audiobooks aren’t anywhere !!! Please Jacklyn why you gotta be like that :(

Almost Great

I'm a big fan of this author and series. I have read them all and have enjoyed them enough to want to own the audio versions as well. My issue with this one is that the volume is ALL over the place. Was it just me? Russo goes from soft spoken to borderline shouting and no, the story doesn't really call for that, it's not a matter of inflection. It's like when the tv show has one volume setting and the commercials another. It's quite jarring in parts. Overall I still think the series will be great in audio, but I hope the narrator / production team does something about the sound levels.

Queer classic PNR!

I loved how much this reminded me of classic PNR. Back when all I read was Nalini Singh, Gena Showalter, JR Ward, Larissa Ione, and others like them. This reminds me of a queer mix of Lords of the Underworld and Lords of Deliverance, and I’m so excited to see this world grow.

Simon was adorable, and Galen a honorable hunk. The other fallen we meet also managed to capture my attention and affection.

I think my biggest issue was a lot of telling instead of showing, especially toward the end. But honestly it didn’t ruin the book. I’m definitely excited to get to the next book too! Can’t wait for the audio to come.

Amazing PNR MM Romance

I read this series earlier in the year, and when I found out it was coming to audio, I was so excited! Nick J Russo knocked it out of the park! One person doing so many different narrations so each brother and additional characters had their own “voices” just blew me away! And all of the scenes that were meant to be emotional, in any capacity, were exactly that. He completely nailed it, and I cannot wait for the rest of the series.
