Summary
She can run, but she can’t hide....
Bailey Morgan is being hunted.
Someone is out to murder Detective Constable Bailey Morgan before she can testify in an upcoming trial.
Using her undercover skills, Bailey embarks on a dangerous mission to help the police catch this elusive killer before it’s too late.
But it won’t be easy, for she’s up against a cunning and ruthless adversary who will stop at nothing to eliminate her.
A tense game of cat and mouse ensues, leading to a shocking revelation at the heart of which lies the key to Bailey’s survival.

Exasperating
I was so frustrated listening to this book. The main character, Bailey (not a good choice of name when wanting not to be remembered), is supposed to be an experienced, professional undercover agent but the story falls well short of that. She actually comes across as an amateurish officer who despite the sever danger to her own life and those around her, makes a number of ridiculous errors and decisions throughout the story. Who, for example, in the midst of a very dangerous undercover operation, would even consider meeting up with her friend "to have a chat and a good meal", leaving herself open to easy detection by a very experienced killer? This is just one of the many circumstances in the story that make it so frustrating and unbelievable. The first book in the series, Jail Bird, was probably the best since, being based in a jail, Bailey was unable to make as many ridiculous decisions.

Insults the reader’s intelligence
Incredibly signposted, drawn out and lacking nuance.
At times, it felt like listening to a dictionary as the explanations for certain aspects were unnecessary.
Also, from a performance perspective, I felt it lacked suspense and much of the non-dialogue was delivered in a manner that did not engage.

Another fab installment
I've really been enjoying this series. I loved it as a standalone story but would have liked to have seen more of a link up between the previous two novels as there were some really interesting characters who we need to see again.
I hope Bailey Morgan returns soon and we see a tying up of the story archs from before

Masterpiece No 3
Yet again Caro Savage delivers another addictive and most imaginative thriller. The story line and character twists are just top notch.
Genevieve Swallow narrates the book so well, bringing the characters to life.
Another brilliant masterpiece that has to be a movie.
Can’t wait for her next novel?

Love the author
Love the author, the narrator and fast moving story line. My only reservation is not being crazy about how her books end!

Nowhere near as good as prior books
Disappointing. First two books about Bailey were very good. This one was mediocre. Below average plot. Shallow characters.! Excellent narration however. I kept listening in the hope that the book would get better. It didn’t.
