Summary

Game Changer
A great start for a new basketball series.
Clay and Nova are a dream couple. I loved how they met the first time. Clay was so grumpy, but he couldn't resist the cute Nova.

Grumpy Baller
Loved this when I read it so was looking forward to the audio. It did not disappoint. Putting voices to Clay and Nova was amazing. Loved listening to it. As far as the story goes, great start to a new series and world

Fun! Fun! Fun!
Bring on the basketball players! I am ready, and Piper Lawson has them coming! Meet Clay. Grumpy, wants to keep to himself but finds someone in his plane seat. That would be Nova. Nervous, doesn't like flying and now is in the wrong seat to boot! The perfect meet cute! Now these two do not hit it off immediately, but their journey of friendship and storytelling is the perfect mix to make this story fly by and have me fall in love. Clay proves himself to be quite a man. His dirty talk is just what Nova needs to get her back in the field. But she finds she spills all of her secrets to this man and as a result, his trust in her has him doing the same. Will there be consequences for their honesty between the two? This ends on a cliffhanger, and in true Lawson fashion, she just leaves me wanting more!
Narrated by Lance Greenfield and Carly Robins, a better team could not have been chosen for these characters. Greenfield plays the broody, grumpy Clay perfectly, adding in a few bits of humor, but for the most part keeping in line with his personality. Robins is a bit more lose mouthed as Nova. Ready to spill all her guts to the man, she is that comfortable and her trust is huge! Loved these two together and I cannot wait until the next book to see where they are going!

Loved it!
Another outstanding book by Piper Lawson!
Game Changer by Piper Lawson is a grumpy sunshine, strangers-to-lovers, sports romance with two main characters Clay and Nova. The chemistry between these two was instant and it was intense and undeniable. This book was fast-paced, and fun and yet it also held some emotion and depth. It had a mixture of everything and it was addictive and that cliffhanger at the end was brutal in the best way possible! I need book two!

Great Start to the Trilogy!
This is the first book in the King of the Court trilogy, a grumpy/sunshine sports romance. This is one of my favorite books by Piper Lawson. I loved it! Clay and Nova's push and pull relationship is captivating. Clay is enigmatic, grumpy, and handsome. Nova is beautiful, sunshine, smart, strong, and so kind. I liked the banter. The main characters are complex, and well developed. The side characters are interesting. Lance Greenfield and Carly Robins did an outstanding job bringing this story to life. I enjoyed it. Looking forward to listening to Shot Taker, the next book in the series, to know what happens next.

Grumpy Sunshine Sports Romance
Game Changer by Piper Lawson is a grumpy sunshine sports romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Lance Greenfield and Carly Robins. This is the first book in the King of the Court series.
I am really enjoying the chemistry between Clay and Nova. I can't wait to see how their relationship will progress over the course of the series. I liked that we got both of their points of views throughout the book.
The book ended on a great cliffhanger. I can't wait to dive into the next book in the series Shot Taker so I can get more of their story.
Lance and Carly did a great job on the narration. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.
I would recommend this book if you're looking for a grumpy sunshine romance, sports romance, or contemporary romance.

The chemistry was undeniable!
This strangers to lovers, grumpy x sunshine, sports romance left me wanting more. I’m so glad there are 2 more books in this trilogy.
I really enjoyed Clay and Nova’s story. The characters were interesting and I loved the undeniable chemistry and tension between these characters. This book was fast paced, fun, and that I totally did not expect this book to end the way that it did.
Lance Greenfield and Carly Robbins narration was amazing and I can’t wait for what’s next for Clay and Nova.

OVERALL: 5 STARS
I LOVE THIS UNIVERSE!!! This trilogy is kind of connected to Tempt (Off-Limits series) via Kat (FMC of Tempt) and we got a tiny little crumb of what’s to come for Clay at the end :) So, yeah, to me, the Off-Limits trilogy, Tempt, and King of the Court trilogy are interconnected, and I LOVE THEM ALL! Lol
PERFORMANCE: 4.5 STARS
Lance Greenfield has never been a top-pick narrator for me before but I gotta say that his performance along with Carly’s was ridiculously good! I’m used to Carly already and have loved everything I’ve listened to by her, but this is a brand-new Lance for me, and I am loving him!
STORY: 5 STARS
Game Changer was such a great combination of character building, romance journey building and storyline building that for a hot-minute, I forgot who I was reading and let my guard down. It was all so ridiculously blissful and then BAM, Piper Lawson strikes again. Dear Piper, STOP.IT. LOL She is the queen of trilogies and cliffhangers. She doesn’t just write stories that need a break or come to a fork so a *pause* is necessary for the impact of the story, nooooooooooo, she almost always upends everything like a tiny tornado and leaves you slack jawed, like ... ”wait, what now?”!!
Nova & Clay have a really great meet-cute and their story is pretty much easy-peasy, until it isn’t, which if you’ve ever read Piper Lawson before, you should be ready for. DO NOT LET YOUR GUARD DOWN! lolololol I can’t wait to dive into the next installment!
