About this listen
From New York Times and USA Today best-selling author Angela Snyder comes a new stand-alone, full-length romantic suspense novel.
I was forced to marry a monster.
Luca Vitale is the heir to his father’s empire.
He has the reputation of being a dangerous monster who can bring even grown men to their knees.
And he’s about to become my husband.
Our families have been at war with one another ever since I can remember.
I am the daughter of his enemy, and he will try everything to control me, to bend me...to break me.
When I’m forced to make a deal with the devil himself, one question still remains—will our union be one of love or violence?
Note: Keeping My Bride is the first book in the Keeping What's Mine series, but each book in the series can be listened to as a stand-alone. It is a dark mafia arranged-marriage romance. It contains adult content for mature listeners.

It was a good listen the story of how two people are forced to marry to bring peace to warring families but he can’t stand her and has no intention of making anything easy on her even when she tries to make a go of it. There are twists and secrets that come to light as the story unfolds of there pasts.

Enemies to Lovers Mafia Style
First time reading this author & I really enjoyed the story!!! It had some of my favorite tropes and when it got hot it was 🌶️!!
It did rely heavily on miscommunication/no communication and due to that Luca drove me crazy at for almost the first half of the book! He was so unlikeable while I felt so awful for Verona! Needless to say he gets his act together and makes up for it! Lol I loved the mystery & epilogue!!
The narrator did a fantastic job! Cecily is becoming one of my favorites!

Good Listen
She was forced to marry her family's enemy but little did she know that he wanted this no more than her. He swears she is a spoiled princess and fails to look at who she is because he is spoiled and entitled.

Keeping my bride….
My favorite trope.. dark, arranged mafia. The story was good. The narrators performed well and kept the characters engaging. It takes a moment to really get into it, but I’m glad I persevered.

Combustible Chemistry
The chemistry between these two is off the charts. Luca is cruel and heartless until he realizes his preconceived notions are completely wrong, then it’s like a switch is flipped and these two go from intense chemistry to explosive heat!

Verona & Luca!
This book is exactly why I love Angela Snyder! Packed with action, enemies to lovers, childhood friends, mafia arranged marriage and so many twists and turns, Keeping My Bride is the kind of listen that pulls me in and keeps me for hours! Luca and Verona were childhood friends until Luca realized she was part of the Moretti family. Now enemies, the two find themselves bound in marriage due to a stipulation in a will by their grandparents. Will they ever find common ground? This book is full of heartbreak and sadness as well as suspense and action. Snyder kept me on my toes and her twist at the end caught me by surprise! This is the best kind of listen if you enjoy dark, suspenseful romance!
Cecily Foster and Vincent Skye are the narrators for this gem and they are fabulous together. Foster starts Verona out as a meek and scared girl, but as time goes on, I could feel her backbone and courage come through. Skye has that dark and dangerous feel to his voice, perfect for Luca yet he could be tender and loving as well. This casting could not have been better and made for a fantastic listen!

Action packed
This leading lady is awesome, she knows when to pick her battles and when to let them be. With this much strength that isn’t obvious people think less of her. A brilliant performance.

My Thoughts on Keeping My Bride
This book started with some moments of sadness and tragedy but the progression from childhood friends to enemies to husband and wife to lovers and in love was so enjoyable to listen to. It was told really well with a really likable leading lady. The leading man took me a bit longer to warm up to, but he made up for it by the end. I enjoyed the twists and turns, I enjoyed the steamy moments, and I enjoyed the reveal of the bad guy. While it did become more obvious as things went along who was behind it, I still liked the way it all unfolded. Topping it all off was the narration of the story. I thought both performers did a good job. I particularly liked the female narrator, Cecily Foster.
