Brilliant! Great voice acting and audio effects.
This just proves that Anthologies are soooo much better in audiobook form.
'The Long Night', 'Iron Corpses' and several other short stories included especially stood out to me.
9/10

brilliant but loud audio
The story, voice acting and sound effects are amazing, really enjoyed listening too this audio book, my only complaint would the audi is a but up and down in terms of volume, sometimes I'd have to turn it up because its hard to hear and other time it's far too loud,
but other then that, I dint think it takes away from the experience and is a really brilliant set of stories, great to hear sound effects to help bring it to fine and the voice acting is brilliant.

Half way to radio plays. Very good.
The stories here are presented with multiple voice actors and special effects. not quite a dramatisation but much of the way along that path. many of the stories (maybe all of them) appear elsewhere as narrated audio books but I preferred these. Very good.

Mostly good
There are a fair few good stories within and the audio drama format lends itself well to many of the narratives

Excellent value and interesting audio dramas
Excellent value and interesting audio dramas. Finally GW have put the overpriced audio dramas into a compilation that makes it worth while to get.
Some stories are better than others but they are all well acted and have great atmosphere.

Heresy!
A fantastic listen and a great set of stories based in and around the heresy. It was very interesting to hear what was going on outside of the huge events that are mainly spoken of.
It gives the universe more depth and flavour.

The Best Audio Presentation Yet….
A great collection of short stories presented as full audio dramas with a great cast. The soundtrack and background effects makes this a true audio play collection as opposed to the usual single narrator. A selection of stories that gives a better insight into the early days of the Heresy.

Seriously gritty!
Where several other short story compendiums in this series fee thrown together off cuts; this is a beautifully crafted set of insights into the minds of several B list protagonists. Worth a listen…

Just awesome. Must for all Battle Brothers.
strong stories pulse rising performances .seems GW took some inspiration from the Bald guy , or perhaps they received a vox from a voidless wolf . Maybe a board prince. Whatever top shelf stuff.

Great performances, reused materials
I love the great work done by the actors and sound mixers, it's just offset by them redoing stories I've paid for in other anthologies. Still worth getting though I'd say.

Sound effects drown out the narrators
I listened to two short stories and had to stop. The sound effects are overbearing and drown out the narrators. I am sure the stories are great but the production on this one is really poor.

Just narration please!
Audio effects were so distracting I wasn't able to make it more than a few minutes into each story. Why not also release a version with just narration? I rated story as 3 because the stories started off ok.

A good mix
Mostly stories of the Chaos legions with some Imperium legion stories here and there. Mostly clever tales with a couple just open warfare dribble.

Anthologies Galore
As I continue to catch up to so many events that have occurred within the Horus Heresy, this had filled so many of those events with unerring consistency. The stories themselves are practically filled with both intrigue and mystery but also a black fortress sized amount of action!
The production of such stories was practically flawless and filled with all the right ambience and atmosphere one would expect.
The voice acting practically flawless as the cast flexes their incomparable understanding of dramatic annunciations as well as their abilities to dish out peak performances was what kept the many scenarios going!
I’d recommend this to anyone looking to jump into the thick of it with a fair modicum of knowledge when it comes to many of the pivotal events leading up to the Siege of Terra. 10/10

Worth a Credit
Vignettes into the difficult times post heresy. The stories are hit and miss, with many being really engaging while others are just a macabre mess. The good ones though are *really* good.
Same with the narration: the Russian and Japanese accents were shamelessly butchered. Why even bother with accents if done so poorly? However, I’ll give the poor voice acting a pass all day long because they brought an entire cast of narrators including women. Imagine: male voices for male pets and female voices for female parts! Why do only the short stories get females for female characters? This should be the default, not the exception.

Nice Change of Presentation
Love the stories told with multiple narrators combined with sound effects. New and different! Even though I've listened to most of these before having the change of presentation made it feel like I was listening to these stories for the first time.
