  • Be compassionate rather than judgemental
  • ...and much more.

From the husband-and-wife team behind social media phenomenon @ADHD_Love, whose viral videos have been viewed more than 200 million times, comes a fearless, often outrageously funny, account of life, learning, and growing with ADHD. Amazing book for someone with late diagnosed adhd

As someone who was diagnosed with ADHD in my 30s, and grew up feeling useless, lazy, stupid and generally like I was failing at life. This book has really helped me express to other people in my life how I feel and understand it myself.
It’s really opened my eyes to parts of my life that I thought where just me being useless but apparently I’m not, it’s part of my adhd.
I played this to my mum, and it started a really in-depth conversation that we’ve never had before, it made a way for me to open up about things I’ve never told her before.
As for the relationship aspect of this book, it has been an absolute epiphany for me! I had given up finding love as I thought I was broken and no one would put up with me. But after listening to this book I realise that it’s not hopeless, it’s just hard work, and I will absolutely encourage future partners to listen to this book.

I would highly recommend this book to anyone who has adhd or in a relationship with someone who has it.
It is not your typical “all you have to do is write lists and set more alarms” book, this has made me realise that I need to give myself a break and stop beating myself up all the time. It has genuinely helpful advice from the perspective of someone with adhd and someone living with someone with adhd.

I can’t recommend this book enough.
Thank you :)

Completely on the nose

Strumming my pain with her fingers.

I honestly think this book should be recommended on the NHS.

When I tell people I have adhd, they ask me how does it affect me? Or what does that mean? What is that?

It’s so difficult to articulate the way you regularly experience the world in different aspects of your life. But this book lays it out succinctly.

Thank you for being a voice for many Rox & Richard.

Insightful

My partner and I are both neurodivergent. He has ADHD. It was incredibly relatable to listen to someone else's experiences. Navigating through discovery, life, work, relationships etc. what really made a difference was listening from a neurotypical perspective. This book was recommended by my other half. I really enjoyed it. Especially the switch between perspectives.

So grateful

As someone with adhd and having attempted to read/listen to multiple books on the topic so many times, this is the first one which really reached me. I felt seen, the parts I don’t struggle with; I still found necessary to know (with an adhd child also). If people are unable to access a supportive therapist or are alone/with a baffled partner, this book is a perfect first step in helping you understand yourself and live an authentic adhd existence with compassion and great ideas to help. Hugest thanks to Rox and Rich for giving the hope much needed to, I’m sure not just me. Will this book be translated?

Compulsory listening if you have an ADHD-er in your life

Very funny and very moving stories about the reality of living with ADHD. It’s a huge bonus that this is narrated by its authors.

Brilliant and so relatable

As someone with a late diagnosis I can really relate to so much of this book. Made me laugh and cry and really think. Thank you both! x

Great listen

Extremely helpful insight into the ADHD brain. Feeling inspired with the new knowledge of how to better support the ADHD-ers I know and love, and it also reminded me of all the wonderful traits that come with it. Thanks for sharing your story

Thank you

This is going to be pivotal for so many people trying to navigate ADHD, especially relationships. It’s like a guidebook or cheat sheet. It’s somewhere to start at least. I cried a lot.

Unbelievable ❤️

It was a rollercoaster of truth and it hit home hard for me. It’s the best book I’ve ever listened to! High five hyperfocus and to the reality that you don’t have a normal brain I hate the bully 😑 I wish you both a lifetime of happiness
