Summary

Dilly is devastated: with her husband unable to work and four children already at home, they cannot afford to feed their newborn baby. Heartbroken, she delivers her baby girl to the Farthing family, who have just lost their own daughter to measles.

This act of desperation will change the lives of both families irrevocably. But when the chance for true love finally comes, will Dilly choose family over her own happiness?

Lovely

I enjoyed listening to this story about two families, each with different lifestyles, and how their lives became drawn together. I found details of WW1 very sad and the story ended too abruptly that i wonder if there may be a sequel!

Great story, shame about the awful narrater.

The storyline was great, but listening to the narrater, she sounded like a school teacher reading to a class of 5yr olds, and obviously doesn't know how to use commas and full stops. So annoying.
