Highly recommend

Very informative, really helped me to understand the various types of inflammation. This audible is one that any could enjoy listen to. I would highly recommend to anyone. There is something for everyone in this book, athletes to understand the importance of joint pain, to anti inflammatory diet tips and the awareness of gluten in our diet and how going gluten free can reduce gut issues and have an overall improvement to our body’s. Great book

As I get older I’m definitely feeling
Those aches and pains more and have suffered from gut problems all of my adult life. I have always stayed for and eat healthily but this book has given me some great tips on foods to avoid, foods that can cause havoc with your body. Well narrated and very interesting

Exceptional Guide

This book is excellent for anyone suffering from inflammation, not just athletes. As someone in their 40's who works out regularly, I suffer from sore knees. The author does an excellent job of going over the different types of inflammation and is very thorough with their explanations. The recipes are great, and I am excited to try the smoothie and snack recipes. This book is clear, straightforward, and easy to follow. I would suggest this book to anyone who suffers from chronic pain and inflammation!

What else can I say Brilliant

WOW loved every single minute of this. Have been gluten intolerant for years, only to find my bloating was caused by cow's milk! then along came my high cholesterol years later, refusing to take statins. I embarked on my own fixes by researching and cutting out everything bad for me, and what a difference it was so worth doing. So the author of this has done an amazing job with this book in such an entertaining way. It's a pure joy to listen to. How he compares it to building sites & bus drivers with the Irish narration is amazing.


Maybe the most entertaining Audiobook I have listened to. Not only that, all the information is so spot on.

LOVE this solution with NO drugs!!

This guy is right on!! I love his totally honest and straightforward presentation of how food affects our health, specifically our joints. The food lists really help, the chapter on shopping is very helpful and the chapter on gluten is SO real.... I wish everybody could understand how food affects our health (probably the most underserved and deeply affected population is the elderly... ). If you want to be healthy in mind and body in old age, read/listen to this book, and DO what is says!!!

Amazing!!

I truly had no idea how food, specifically sugar, affected my body until 2 years ago. I absolutely loved listening to this book. Anybody who deals with chronic pain should pick this book up and listen to it. Michael has provided invaluable insight into our diet and managing pain!

Excellent and Informative

This is an excellent audiobook. It's packed with tons of useful and informative content all set out in a way that's clear and easy to follow. And the narration is great too. One does not have to live one's life in chronic pain. I loved the varied recipes and found the movement exercises helped me tremendously. Michael Kenneally does an amazing job.

More than just a nutrition book

Did not realize how food could be related to inflammation. I was under the misunderstanding that the problem was due to genetics, injury, work, exercise or just the result of old age. Mr. Kenneally tells his own story of teen-age inflammation and finally discovering it was a case of gluten intolerance. Finally discovering the root cause of the problem, he was able to deal with the real problem. I must agree with him that most doctor do not try to cure disease, They are taught to handle problems caused by disease.
This book is not just for athletes. Even couch potatoes can use this book. It is not just about a diet and food. I found the exercises helpful & easy to do add to my daily routine. Correct breathing techniques and the benefits of fasting and balanced sunlight is also covered.There is a huge section about other ways to reduce inflammation but more importantly increase your energy level. With higher energy levels, I can live a fuller and active life.
Listening to this book made me want to purchase the print book so that I can have all those recipes & meals on my table.

Healthy pain therapy

There are times when I nurse back pain, and take painkillers, but nothing happens. It's refreshing to see from this book that, other healthier alternatives, through dieting, could help reduce internal swelling and get you back again. The author shares his experience, having grown up as a sportsman nursing pain but didn't get much luck through the traditional healing and therapy methods.

The author provides a comprehensive overview to pain relief, starting with the causes of inflammation and chronic pain, anti-inflammatory diets, ways to combat inflammation, and lots more. For any athlete or sportsman, this book is a must-have; and could just be the one to make a real difference to your chronic pain challenges.
