Highly Recommend

With the world we live in today through social media, its so easy to get yourself down comparing yourself to unrealistic standards or looking at negative comments. People with busy work and personal lives beat themselves down almost every day and its not healthy. This is an easy listen to boost up your self esteem and give you confidence. I love the 50 positive statements and i even printed some out and put them up throughout my house, really makes a difference. Very well written

Incredible Resource!

Many people including myself struggle with the ability to love themselves and to actually take time out of their day to work on themselves. What I loved about this book is how it provides multiple strategies and resources that can help you "reprogram your mind" as the title says, into being the best version of yourself. Again, this is an incredible resource.

GREAT PERSPECTIVE FOR WOMEN

I thought this was a great easy listen for women who struggle with body-issues. Mothers especially would benefit from these reminders to change the way you think. Society makes it near impossible to accept our bodies the way they are, this book challenges those lies we've believed.

Regaining love for yourself

In today's world, it is really easy to be influenced by social media, our work, our friends and even our family. Negative thoughts are very intrusive and it is amazing how much power a negative thought has vs a positive one. One of the things I struggle with the most is constantly comparing myself to others. Comparing where I am in my life compared to where they are. Compare my career to theirs. Comparing my marriage to someone elses. I really enjoyed the chapter on the harmful effects of comparison. I feel after listening to the book that I know I need to be able to accept what I have and be happy about it. Just because someone looks happier than you, who's to say they are? It's time to stop thinking of the what if and live in the now and accept that our lives are for us to live and there is no need to ever compare to anyone elses.

Where your focus goes your energy flows

I read this book at the perfect time. It provided me with tools to work through the emotional baggage I was going through while reading. I enjoyed the mantras. Motivating and uplifting. The writer explained that self-care is about accepting our flaws and giving ourselves some grace. A great and gentle guidebook towards changing unhealthy attitudes towards self and learning to accept and appreciate our individuality. They help you see the good in yourself and the world around you. They're also great for helping you to manifest your desires. I enjoyed the personal stories inside the lessons. It changed my outlook on my poor health. It was eye-opening to the things I was depriving myself of.
I hope you enjoy this read as much as I have

What a beautiful book!

I read this book before bed every night, It has helped to calm my anxious mind. The narrator has such a soothing way reading the words which uplifts my spirit even when I have had a rough day. It is like a giant affirmation I enjoy allowing into my spirit. I am worthy of love, I forgive myself, I and surrounded by love, I am capable of anything I want to achieve, I am grateful for this opportunity of life, I am determined to always find a way, I am strong, I let go of all that does not serve me, I am committed to loving myself more. I am blessed, I am ready, I am aligned, I am vibrating high, I am attuned, I am fully responsible for what happens in my life. I am on the path of freedom. I just love this stuff. Thank you so much. The suggestions and exercises in this book are profound and I can feel the shifts happening in my life even after 2 weeks of listening. Buy this book and listen every day, you will be empowered and transformed.

Create a loving relationship with you!

Why is it so hard to love yourself? It's unfortunate that we have come so far away from who we are we have a hard time showing love and compassion to ourselves.
I found the "mirror technique" to be most helpful for me. Although it was rather difficult it really helped me change the way i look at my self.
The 8 self care practices were a great call to action to get me actively working towards self love on a daily basis. I really appreciate the authors perspective on self love as a life long commitment rather than just a trend.
Learning to care for my well-being is just a small part of this book, everything you gain from this book will flow over into the people around you as they witness your joy explode!

This is a great self-stim book.

The calm voice and the well-chosen words make you think if you really love yourself enough.
In addition, the tips Merilu gives make you feel contempt for bad habits, like lifting your mood with chocolate or shopping therapy. You point to many more helpful ways to boost your self-esteem.

Deeply impactful

Before listening to this audiobook I'd never really focused on self-love in any meaningful way. Now I understand the importance of loving myself mentally, emotionally, and physically. It is wonderful to be kind to others but I must be kind to myself too. This book made me reflect on my life and stare Truth in the face. It is an impactful text that makes you look at yourself properly in an honest, open way acknowledging your vulnerabilities in the process.

Chapter 6 helped me to understand a range of life truths - that I can’t rely on my mind and I can change it; some feelings are meant to be felt and let go; self-love will help me realize my dreams. I am encouraged to appreciate the present and avoid worry and anxiety. This is a deeply impactful text that will help many to reflect and heal, as well as become empowered and purposeful.
