Summary
Having survived what felt like an impossible journey, Maddy Whitmore and Bryce Carter discover that there is no time to rest. Not only is New York still slated for nuclear annihilation, they are hounded by demons more horrible than anything they’ve yet encountered.
Virtual armies of undead, using a “collective mind”, lay siege to the Federal Building, and the two are forced to their new and astounding limits just to survive. Yes, they’ve grown stronger and faster, but so have their opponents who will do anything to destroy them.
The only way to keep the building from being overrun is for Maddy and Bryce to lead the demon and its army away. They flee through the maze of tunnels beneath the city, where the demons soak up the darkness, swelling to great size. These fiends are otherworldly and so terribly foul that to look upon them will drive the weak insane.
And, to make matters worse, the two are still New York’s only hope. The far-seeing Daniel Magnus has placed the lives of three million people on their shoulders. Supposedly, only they can stop the incoming nuclear missiles, which makes little sense since they barely survive trial after trial. Torn, bloody, and exhausted, they have no choice but to go on and on….

I hate the ending! But...
The performance by the narrator was spot on compared to the first book. I'm hoping there will be a third book because I hate the ending, but I loved the story nonetheless.

Sandwiches & Kickassery
I loved every bit of both book 1 and book 2, I'm pretty bummed there isn't a book 3 and so on already out or in pre-order, but this series thus far has been awesome, the morality and emotions conveyed throughout keep you engaged the entire time, alongside a ton of Zombie and "Demon" killing action as well, characters are interesting and grow, I'm extremely excited to see the next in this series if and when it comes! also, if you're hungry, this book will likely entice you to eat a sandwich ( extra mayo )

Best Zombie apocalypse book ever!!! Peter Meredith for the win!
Peter Meredith is by far my all time favorite author! I have read All of his books and each one has been amazing! I had over looked Hero’s of the undead for some time. Which now thinking back was a mistake!
I loved the first book but the second one speaks to my soul. Hero’s and Zombies! Anarchy makes you really start to feel for each one of the characters and their trials to save their friends. With the powers more developed, all you can think of is super Hero origins story with Peter Meredith zombie twist to it.
Now my absolute favorite book passing Peter Meredith’s Apocalypse!

just as good as the first
going into the first book, I wasn't so sure about our reluctant heroes. After how book 1 ended I knew I needed to listen to this. Meredith and Katz don't disappoint in the least. Everything from the pacing to character development is top notch. If there's a third book in the works.. and I hope to God there is, I'll be getting it asap. Our heroes have truely become just that, heroes. I can't say I enjoy the cliffhangers Meredith is famous for but if Apocalypse Crusade is any indication, this will continue to be a satisfying, enjoyable, wild ride right up to the end.
