Birth is a feminist issue. It’s the feminist issue nobody’s talking about. For too long women have been told, ‘a healthy baby is all that matters’. This book dares to say women matter too. Finally blasting the feminist spotlight into the labour ward, Milli Hill encourages women everywhere to stand and deliver, insisting that birth is no longer left off the list in discussions about female power, control and agency.

Summary
Penguin presents the audio edition of Your No Guilt Pregnancy Plan, written and read by Rebecca Schiller.
Your No Guilt Pregnancy Plan is a revolutionary new guide to pregnancy and childbirth that puts the power firmly in your hands. It won't tell you what fruit your baby resembles week by week, but it will cover the huge shifts happening in your relationships, body, work and emotional life right now, giving you practical tools, tips and real stories to help you make a plan that is uniquely yours yet flexible enough to accommodate whatever your pregnancy, birth and life throw at you.
With so many decisions to make and so much conflicting advice from the Internet, friends, health-care professionals and in-laws, it's easy to feel overwhelmed during pregnancy. Throughout her career as CEO of Birthrights, the charity that promotes women's rights in childbirth, parenting journalist, and one of the UK's best known doulas, Rebecca Schiller has supported countless women through pregnancy, helping them to find the solutions that are right for them and their families. And she has discovered that whilst a stress-free pregnancy might not always be possible, a guilt-free one certainly is.
Packed full of unbiased information and a firm focus on your mental health and well-being, this is the definitive no-judgment companion to your pregnancy and birth, laying out all your options at every stage - from conception to maternity leave and coping with labour, right through to your first weeks at home with your newborn. Full of Rebecca's characteristic warmth, reassurance and expertise, this book covers the topics that really matter in your life, equipping you with the knowledge and confidence to be your own expert, take care of yourself, know when to ask for help and have your baby your way.

If you should get one pregnancy book, get this one
It's a pity I cannot give this book more stars as it totally deserves millions of it. I've already started reading a few books about pregnancy and even though they were far from bad, they certainly did not fulfill all my expectations. This book did it. It's full of very practical and useful information, it is very well organised, but what I absolutely LOVE about it is its positive, non-judgemental tone. It offers various approaches to pregnancy, delivery and childcare, lists pros and cons of each, but presents all of them as equal choices, each one right and useful in different circumstances for different people. Also, this book is highly inclusive. It takes into account people with mental health problems, disabilities, it does not assume a pregnant woman has to have a partner or that the partner has to be male. It also lets women speak for themselves and we can read about many varied real-life experiences of different women. All in all, this book provides a very coherent and complex view of pregnancy, birth and childcare and I strongly believe it is an excellent choice for any mother-to-be or simply anyone interested in the topic. I really wish this book gets adapted for as many countries as possible because I am yet to see its equal.

Lovely, informative and soothing
Great listen for expecting mums. But let me strongly advise that you make copious use of the bookmark and notes function from the start. As is a common problem with Audible, it is hard to go back as app chapters don't match with book chapter. Last chapter of book helpfully summarises where to find key info but you still have to search a bit for the right chapter.
