Summary

Old Man Vincent is heading for the top of the World-Tree and beyond in the final installment of the World-Tree Trilogy. To get there, he's going to have to overcome titan-sized bosses, strange new worlds, an army of angels, and a seemingly invincible final boss.

And yes, he's looking forward to the challenge.

Engaging story and phenomenal voice acting

The story was very immersive and takes a much more intricate touch to the early portion of the journey. A very solid conclusion and the voice acting was done extremely well.

Excellent end to the trilogy

I picked the first in the series up without knowing much about it - boy was I glad I did!

This is a good ending to a very strong trilogy of books. Created a very immersive world and loved the characters.

The only thing that I was disappointed in when finishing this was that I now have to find another series!

Great finish to the trilogy

Only prob I had with it was the amount of time focused on Vincent's wife some parts are heartfelt and important in the book but others just felt like you are beating a dead horse and the last story focused on it to much making some parts tedious when she shows up in the story. But other than that great book. I hope its not the end of Vincent and Jim.

A satisfying end to my favourite LitRPG series

As an avid lifelong reader of sci-fi and fantasy and of recent years a big fan of LitRPG, I wanted to take a second to review this book. This series has been my favourite LitRPG series of all time and I have read most of the genre.

Overall the author nails consistency and continuity of characters and internal consistency of the world through the series. I like the video game mechanics of the world from stat development to spell creation. The antagonists are well thought out and developed. I also appreciate that half of this book is not endless rehashing of character sheets and skill descriptions like many in the genre. Enough to stay informed without overly fixating on it.

With regards to performances I thought all of the voice cast gave great performances and the use of sound effects was well employed and subtle. They act well to compliment the voice performances without distracting.

With regards to the story across the whole series I find it to be well written with good story arcs and well measured pace/progression. The author avoids pitfalls of power creep and grind. Where many LitRPG series use time compression and being trapped in the game as a device to force the plot, the author does a great job of driving it as the overarching plot. I think it provides realistic and divergent viewpoints on the situation and develops contrasting views that enhance the experience.

To the author, thank you so much for writing this series. To the cast, thank you for excellent performances, great distinct voices without resorting to comical overdone accents to distinguish characters. To the editor(s), proofreaders and anyone else involved in this series, kudos and thank you.

Thank you EA Hooper

What a wonderful journey up the World Tree. Thank you for taking me (us) along. Even though I wasn’t actually trapped, I felt like I was part of, and invested in, all the adventures along the way. Thank you for such a wonderful experience.

So well written

This series is such a heart gripping story. You’re so invested in almost every major character it feels like you’re right there with them. The end of each book is also so very satisfying EVERY TIME. I cried at the end of book 3 simply because I felt like I was right there with these characters for 360 years. I feel like I know Old Man Vincent. Thank you for this series
