About this listen
Seth Tanner and his brother Jesse's fun evening debunking local urban legends ends with Jesse's gruesome murder. Seth vows revenge on Jesse's killer - too bad the murderer has been dead for a hundred years.
Seth uncovers a cycle of ritual killings that feed the power of a dark warlock's immortal witch-disciples, and he's hell bent on stopping Jackson Malone from becoming the next victim. He's used to risking his neck. He never intended to risk his heart.

Plot holes
Such a shame this book starts out great and gets worse towards the end. Couldn't understand why He suddenly starts doubting Seth out of the blue after fighting ghosts , hell hounds and slepping with him none stop. He witnesses no end of magic then we are meant to believe he suddenly has a change of heart. After that it's one stupid plot point after another that make no sense .

Spicy Supernatural-like
Spicy paranormal romance that falls into the trope of questioning established facts and bad communication. Aggravating to me as always with this trope but interesting in it's premise and the spice was fiery. Not sure I'd continue the series but a fun read. Think Supernatural fanfiction without the whole gross brother thing.

Yes!
Really enjoyed this one! It was a bit of a gamble as both the author and the narrator were unknowns for me. I liked the sound of the blurb and thought I'd give it a go.
The story was really good, I want looking for something heavy and over the top angst ridden as I've just read one of those, so this fits the bill nicely, the two CMs are well put together, there have their issues but they aren't laid on so thick it draws you away from premier of the story. Some reviews I've read said that it was predictable and a cliche but I don't agee. I loved it! I routed for Seth & Evan, enjoyed their journey and have just happily bought book 2 😊
Kale Williams is a narrator who i will definitely search for in the future. A good range of voices, the female voices were handled well and he was very expressive, I felt he showed the emotions of each character well.
Definitely a recommendation 💝

Entertainingly paranormal
This is a book that is full of Ghosts, warlocks, magic and human goons. If this is not your thing then it's not the book for you.
This book begins with the brutal murder of Jessie, Seth's younger brother and this book doesn't shy away from giving you some of the gritty-ness of this.
Seth wants vengeance and to keep the next victim safe.
Jackson doesn't know what to believe.
The chemistry and sexy times are so hot this book is NOT intended for anyone under 18. I loved this book and hope that we see more of these two, the action and drama although quite dark is offset by the sexiness of their relationship making this a fantastic story.
Having listened to the audible. It was well done and the narration by Kale Williams, did well to bring the action to life. I enjoyed reading the book and found the audio file to be as enjoyable. The audible added a depth to the angst and fear felt by the characters, as the action of evading dark witchcraft and falling in love. This is very well done.

A bit disappointing
The narration was very good, with each character having a distinctive voice. And very nicely paced. The plot line was okay, but far too much time spent on sex scenes as opposed to developing the background of the world world, the plot and the various characters. The bad guys in particular were just sketches.

Interesting
I enjoyed the book. I agree with another review that talked about how Evan didn't trust Seth after seeing magic and people trying to kill him and instead trusted everyone else. It didn't take away from the story for me but it did make me very annoyed with Evan. In my opinion, Evan still hadn't made up for his doubt in Seth after everything Seth had done to help Evan. Narration was good, though I always enjoy books narrated by Kale Williams.

Maj ick
So well narrated, which makes up for the ultra graphic tale of insta love, insta lust. Unlike Josh Lanyon where we feel the connection and lust grow between the MCs before they ever touch, here it's the first interaction thereafter an expectant connection. Usually in MM books, the MCs are equal, and are equally strong in their actions, here it was like an MF book converted, as one of the MCs is weak and silly.
Chose this book for the narrator, hoping the blurb fulfilled it's promise, and delivered a soul searching and enlivening narrative, but sadly it's trite and repetitive and maybe the reason it was free in the Plus Catalogue.
KEEP SWIPING
