About this listen
Months ago, Ahnjii fell through a gate to Earth where cryptids live hidden among humans like herself. Much to her delight, her unusual truthsense ability allows her to see their real, undisguised forms behind their sigil-enhanced glamor. Always accompanied by Khimmer, the mind of her adaptive Nightarmor, Ahnjii learns to hide her abilities and secrets while daring to delve into the tempting excitement of Earth.
Trouble arrives when Shailagh, a red-haired high Fae, convinces Ahnjii to search Tallahassee for a volatile, bizarre Wight. One of the millennia old high Fae who have ascended and transformed beyond recognition. Unfortunately, this disquieting Wight breaks all the ancient agreements as it enthralls humans, animals, and cryptids alike.
Ahnjii’s closest friend, Tyler, could end up the Wight’s next thrall. That could be the Wight’s last mistake.
The Khimmer Chronicles is a contemporary, urban fantasy set on a mysterious Earth where Fae, Nedjir, shifters, and other cryptids hide in plain sight. The first audiobook of the series is a dangerous hunt that forces Ahnjii to use her Nightarmor on Earth.

Wight's Wrath.
This is a very entertaining listen with cute and well developed characters. The main character finds herself in a world totally alien to her and she struggles to cope but having made a couple of friends she manages often with amusing results. Her ability to tell when someone is telling the truth assists her in getting a job with a lawyer and she helps him a lot despite her doubts as to what clothes and shoes are appropriate. Overall a very good story well narrated by Christine Mascott who brings all the characters to life. Highly recommended to fantasy readers.
