I love Bob and the whole storyline..... My only issue with this book is the change of accent for Gabrielle.... It really jarred and spoilt it for me. I think Angus King is my favourite narrator, a true king!

I sometimes replay the Hoon audible books because they always make me laugh. Can't wait for the latest one, Stateside? Please let it be Angus King reading it.

I cannot understand why I take such pleasure in such a foul mouth amoral person who kills without remorse. Its like having a guilty secret. I am an apparently 'charming old' lady with a veneer of respectability, who harbours the desire to let forth some Hoonerisms for the benefit of the various workers I meet who say things like 'bless' to me. One day I am going to do it. Its all J D Kirks fault. I am turning into a foul mouth Bertha. God help the grandkids!

Absolutely brilliant. The interplay between Hoon and his sister had me laughing so loudly that my sudden outburst frightened my dogs! As per usual, Angus Kings narration is superb. A gripping roller coaster of a plot with unforgettable characters. Brilliant!

Picking up right from where book 2, Southpaw ended, Hoon after successfully finding his friends daughter, cocking a snoot at The Loop, he's being hunted by a group of the organisation's 'foot soldiers', so he heads home, to Westward and introduces us to his contankerous, irasible sister. Berta, twenty years Bob Hoon's senor, she's equally racious, a force to be reckoned with.
There's real laugh out loud monuments, constant entertainment and a conclusion to what's been an excellent trilogy.

What's better than a Hoon? Two Hoons!
