Summary

New system? Check. Companions? Check. An accidental soulbound murder bunny with aspirations of becoming a chef? Check.

It’s not easy being a System Traveler. Well, the traveling part is hard, at least. But once Derek got his feet under him, he hit the ground running, saving an entire area from a massive dungeon overflow in the process. He even found some companions to help ease the massive hole inside him formed from spending decades alone in the void.

Now, it’s time to move on to another adventure–from small villages to a city.

His only experience with a noble left a bad taste in his mouth, and cities are full of them. Hopefully, that experience was an outlier. Surely his view of nobles is just swayed by tropes beaten to death in popular fiction, right?

Well, he’s about to find out as he takes a step into his first city in Cydaria, Torith.

Don’t miss the continuation of Derek’s adventure with a new System, complete with the unique combination of LitRPG, isekai, and slice-of-life genres. Just what is an overpowered protagonist to do with a foreign System in foreign land? Whatever he feels like.

I feel a meme coming on…

Mom and daughter driving, mom at the wheel, daughter listening to headphones via tablet.
Daughter: “Mom, Can I have a BMD?”
Mom (eye twitching) “Reeeeally? Whats that then?”
Daughter: “A Bunny of Mass Destruction!”
Silence, then tires screech as mom slams the breaks.
“A WHAT?!!!”
Daughter (whispering in fear) “it cooks too…”

Listen to this book to laugh even more at this bad meme.

Oh, and it a Good listen with a Nice delivery too.

Second book didn't dissapoint. I don't always leave a review. Unless I really enjoyed it. Great follow on from the 1st book and I'm really looking forward to book 3

Book one and two should have been one book

Could have been a lot better if one and two were put together. There was too much time spent over explaining things, details are good but sometimes not so much. I think when it’s all said and done it will be a good series binge read I will definitely spend another credit on the next book.

It delivered

Great sequel, and natural continuation of the story, with a good plan on world building for laying out future. But I think what shined the most were the additions of some very important secondary characters. Really enjoyed it overall :)

Feels like a introduction to book 3

Not much happens, main pretty much goes back and fourth in town and talks to the same people prepping for book 4.

What bothered me the most was how almost all interactions were a scene. Even interactions that didn't contribute to the story. Sometimes it's better to write out, then he went and got some bread at the bakers before going home...instead of making it a whole side quest

Cash grab with filler

Less litrpg & more soap opera drama. No romance yet so I guess that’s a positive. Sad thing is it’s still better than 90% of litrpg this year.

Excellent follow up

As a fan of the series, this book is an excellent follow up to a great start. As with book one, there is good character development, worldbuilding, and action. Narration is great and really pulls you into the story.
Be warned, there will be stat reads, which those not into the genre find jarring. Not to worry, they are not excessive and help to move progression along and give context.
Overall I am happy with book two and plan to purchase book three in May, and recommend the series.

Torrid story, smut narrator but I still enjoyed it

Not sure why a keep coming back to this. My 6 yr old uses ChatGPT to create better stories with better writing and better characters.

But it's somehow fun to listen to it. Even with the awkward use of pronouns and nouns.
