Summary
A psychological suspense novel of obsession and dangerous love. The new, updated edition of Too Late from the number one New York Times best-selling author of Verity.
Sloan will go through hell and back for those she loves. And she does so, every single day. Caught up with the alluring Asa Jackson, a notorious drug trafficker, Sloan has finally found a lifeline to cling to, even if it’s meant compromising her morals. She was in dire straits trying to pay for her brother’s care until she met Asa. But as Sloan became emotionally and economically reliant on him, he in turn developed a disturbing obsession with her—one that becomes increasingly dangerous every day.
When undercover DEA Agent Carter enters the picture, Sloan’s surprised to feel an immediate attraction between them, despite knowing that if Asa finds out, he will kill him. And Asa has always been a step ahead of everyone in his life, including Sloan. No one has ever gotten in his way.
No one except Carter.
Together, Sloan and Carter must find a way out before it’s too late....

Good read with a few twists
Good book, kept me interested & had a couple of little twists that I didn't quite see coming, great narration (although I found Asa's narration at bit whingy). Worth a read!

Just Perfect
There are books that stay with you forever ingrained in your heart. This is one of them!! Absolute stunning piece of work. Gripping, disturbing, heart warming, scary. Just a few adjectives used to describe how I felt whilst listening. Hoover writes from deep within her soul and I for one appreciate all that hard work.

Good Read
It was an emotional story and I enjoyed it. I only didn't like that they cursed so much and I could have done without all the negative references to God and Jesus. I've read other Colleen Hoover books and this one was a little uncomfortable because of that.

The 3 person point of view (Luke, Sloan, Asa)
Overall a good book, but nothing compares to Verity or It Ends With Us/It Starts With Us.

The characters and their stories
Really loved this book. Kept me on my toes throughout every chapter and enjoyed the perspective chapters from all 3 of them

Like this Author but not my favourite
Recently discovered this authors books and the first I read blew me away with such a gripping and unusual plot line with twists you couldn’t imagine! This one though I enjoyed the listen, didn’t grab me quite as much, very different story and plot, a little gruesome and violent in parts as it involves abuse in various forms, however it did venture into the mind of the lesser liked character which was interesting. The characters were excellent though and really brought to life with the narration.

Enjoyable
The story was entertaining and kept me engaged throughout however it was predictable.
I enjoyed the characters. I liked how the story was told from 3 different perspectives, that each perspective carried on from the previous and didn’t repeat or over lap.

A little predictable
I thought one of the narrators was rushing the sentences. The book as a whole wasn’t her best work. It was about 2 hours longer than needed and was very predictable. I did enjoy it however, the bones of it had potential.

The gripping story.
I downloaded this some time ago and when I first started listening to it I didn't think I would like. Thankfully I continued and I was totally gripped. I can honestly say it was brilliant. Best one I've listened to so far.
