Summary
Beloved number-one New York Times best-selling author Colleen Hoover returns with an unforgettable love story between a writer and his unexpected muse.
Fallon meets Ben, an aspiring novelist, the day before her scheduled cross-country move. Their untimely attraction leads them to spend Fallon's last day in LA together, and her eventful life becomes the creative inspiration Ben has always sought for his novel. Over time and amidst the various relationships and tribulations of their own separate lives, they continue to meet on the same date every year. Until one day Fallon becomes unsure if Ben has been telling her the truth or fabricating a perfect reality for the sake of the ultimate plot twist.
Can Ben's relationship with Fallon - and simultaneously his novel - be considered a love story if it ends in heartbreak?

Ummm.... Who wrote this?
What was most disappointing about Colleen Hoover’s story?
"I wish my heart had lips so I could kiss him"- ??????
Are authors running out of ideas for the heart? I just... well - after that I just couldn't go on. I don't understand how a girl who has NEVER shown ANYONE her scars allows one guy to UNDRESS her within hours!!!! I know, it's fiction. Just very unbelievable fiction.
How could the performance have been better?
The woman in this is SO damn dramatic and whiny that it put me to sleep twice. It took me three days to get to the second year and well - then I just couldn't do it.
Any additional comments?
Did Colleen Hoover actually write this? If so - I think she needs to take a writing break.

Not for me, but maybe for someone else.
I enjoyed the story, it developed nicely and genuinely suprised me at many moments. However, I found myself not liking the two main characters, and parts seemed a bit dramatic for me. This was my first time reading a new adult romance so I don't know if the genre just isn't for me, but plot wise it was good even if it lacked for me in other places.
I liked the male narrator, and enjoyed his parts of the audiobook more than the girls, whose voice almost sounded too sensual all the time, even when it wasn't appropriate, and I found her sections difficult to get into for the majority of the novel.

November 9 by Colleen Hoover
Colleen Hoover's books never fail to completely destroy me, and November 9 was no exception. It follows Fallon and Ben who meet the day before Fallon is due to move to New York. They connect and spend Fallon's last day in L.A. together and before they part they decided to meet up on the same day every year and give each other tasks to push each other.
This book actually sounded like the most adorable book ever. A slow burn romance with the characters only having contact one day per year, giving they time to experience new things and grow as characters.
I adored Fallon. She's feisty and determined, but lacks confidence due to a fire that she was trapped in when she was younger which left her covered in burns and ruined her acting career. She took a major hit to her confidence, and I adored seeing her becoming comfortable in her own skin and gaining the confidence to put herself out there again.
Ben is a completely different story. He's basically an enigma for most of the book. We never really hear much about Ben's past, and he's pretty secretive about his personal life. But Ben is the sweetest guy ever. He's adorable and charming, and he really helps Fallon come out of her shell. He was just such an amazing character.
And then came the biggest plot twist Colleen Hoover has ever written that completely and utterly destroyed me. I had no idea how I was supposed to feel after the twist or what I was supposed to do. It's the most horrific and heartbreaking twist ever, and I had no idea what was going to happen between Ben and Fallon after the reveal.
November 9 is probably the most cruel book Colleen Hoover has ever written. But it's beautiful and heartbreaking, and I loved every minute of it.

Very irritating narration!
I love Colleen Hoover Books, but the narration let this one down, I couldn’t get past the first few chapters without getting irritated by the long drawn out voice of the narrator. Had it been better read I probably would’ve stuck it out

stupidly sexist male thoughts
couldn't finish it because the male-centred chapter was so sexist and rubbish, it was impossible to listen to.

Loved the twist
Originally found this book to be a bit cliche and easy to predict but wasn’t expecting the twist towards the end, only con is I found the narration of Fallon a bit lack lustre but over all loved it in the end.

I think I should take a break!
I think I should take a break from reading Colleen Hoover's books. I read 2 in a week and I feel like they have imprinted something in me, in my heart, in my soul... And I'm not sure what it is! That's why I need a break. Don't get me wrong, the books are AMAZING, THIS book is AMAZING and totally worth your money! I'm so sorry, I probably shouldn't be writing a review at this moment, I just finished November 9th and I'm still too dumbfounded...so don't mind me and go get the book! Just do it! Click it! I will just go now and get a tattoo... you will understand me later.

THEIR LOVE TOOK ME ON AN UNFORGETTABLE JOURNEY
As this beautiful, tragic and heartbreaking story slowly, and oh so sweetly, unfolded I kept telling myself "I'll stop at chapter 6.... okay I'll stop at chapter 8.... well I can't stop at this point in the story so just a few more chapters"..... and the conflict continued throughout the night. And, as the gut-wrenching twists, shocking truths, pain, anguish and heartbreak these two soul mates endured alongside their love, I know that this utterly mesmerising story is going to haunt my thoughts all day. Because this was a very powerful, very emotional and very well written testament to fate, destiny, unconditional love, second chances and that the act of forgiveness is divine.
Dual POV's but I wish Zachary Webber had narrated the whole thing because Angela Goethals narration was painful.
Worth a credit? A love story that has you smiling at it's sweetness, passion, romance and tenderness one minute and, in the narrator's next words, you're suddenly gripped by nerves at what may come next. And, even though you say "no, no, no please no" over and over again, your worst fears are confirmed, it's like a blow to your senses and you're left utterly stunned at just how can this situation ever be made right. Only to find out later that the worst shocker is still to be delivered. Then, on top of this, comes a harrowing account of one heartbreaking night that'll impact and change a teenage boy's and a teenage girl's life forever. This listen was everything I hoped for and much much more.... so creditworthy - one million times YES.

I hate you soo good, Colleen!
If you could sum up November 9 in three words, what would they be?
What just happened?!!!
What did you like best about this story?
Beside the fact that it had me at the edge of my seat from the very beginning? Wow! I literally found myself having to pause the book in the middle of chapters because I was SOO scared of the all the emotions bombarding me about these characters.
Which scene was your favorite?
I don't want to give any spoilers away so I will refrain from describing anything specific but you're in for some "feels" with this one. But if you're a Hoover fan, you know its inevitable.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
I UGLY cried during Ben's book because God! how could everything have gone so bad?

Of course it's a 5 star
Colleen Hoover very rarely goes wrong for me. This was well worth the highly anticipated release. It ripped me to shreds and left me with my mouth open and my emotions all over the place. I think Zachary Webber always does a good job but I just can't deal with Angela Goethals. The robotic voice and awkward pauses just leave me irritated at her voice. Even with that being said, it's worth the money, the credits... All of it.

love stories: as much as some of us think know how we want to falling in love, dream of fairy tale love, and want an unconditional love. I think November 9th love is the best. when you think what is going to happen next on the plot line Colleen Hover writes a curve ball.

Another amazing story from Colleen Hoover
November 9
Another amazing book by Colleen Hoover!
November 9 is not a cookie cutter romance novel. The story is so different and surprising.
The book tells the story of what happens on this one date each year. It chronicles the ups and downs of Ben and Fallon as they navigate toward and away from each other.
Ms. Hoover is a master at throwing unexpected plot twists and turns at her readers. I fell in love, had my heart broken, laughed and cried.
“I don’t want to be your first, Fallon. I want to be your last.”

Wonderful storyline
Perfect everywhere except.. The female's narration sounds pained and overly dramatic for the story. Excellent storyline though, I totally fell in love with it.

Let's start by saying I LOVE COLLEEN HOOVER!
hmmmm what to say about this book? I really hated rating this book 3 stars but it really took me a long time to get into it. By the end I really did like it but it took me forever to read it. I liked the double point of views. It's possible I struggled with this book because the girl voice was just not great for this audio. Loved the guy but I cringed when the girls would start in
