Summary

Where I End is a standalone new adult romance.

Eve

Pretentious. Arrogant. Condescending. Cruel.

All words I'd used to label him. Exactly what I’d always believed he was. All that changed one spring morning when I realized I didn't know the man behind the facade at all.

Angry. Desperate. Broken. Mine.

All words I'd use to define him after I interfered. Once our eyes locked, I was all in. There was no turning back. He tried to push me away, but I refused to let him go. I was determined to save him. What I didn't expect was that he would save me, too.

Cy

I was so close to ending my misery. Mere seconds away. Then she stumbled upon our argument, and I changed my plans. She wasn't supposed to be there. She knew too much. Even with my entire world burning down around me, she wouldn't walk away.

I’ve always been on my own. No one had ever fought for me before. Why should anyone start now? But she did, no matter how much I tried to stop her. I knew I was nothing, unworthy of her, but she was persistent. Once she got under my skin, I couldn't let her go, because where I end, she begins.

Emotional romantic drama

This audio didn’t really work for me. I don’t know if it was the narrators or the writing that was the problem, the story had so much potential. Enemies to lovers in a roundabout way, with Cy being cruel to Eve throughout school, picking on her and ridiculing her with his band of merry men, and their trusty female entourage. Years later Eve becomes his saviour and a friendship forms, it’s then that the truth comes out, the truth of what Cy had to endure, and the reason he behaved the way he did. I loved that Eve held no grudge, but I just felt like the whole scenario was a little cliched and a whole lot of cheesy.

Great book

Medium Trigger warning Abuse and Sexual Abuse,
This was a really great storyline but I must admit the female narrator got on my nerves she was totally trying too hard and that kind of put me off the book but because the storyline was very good I pushed on through and I am so glad I did, well worth the read very enjoyable.

Medium Trigger warning = not in fine detail but is talked about several times throughout the book.

Heart wrenching

With what starts as a high school bully romance that changes pace and does a 180 and becomes the sweetest NA romance in which the heroine saves the hero from all his demons regardless of their past and becomes just the most beautiful love story.

It was ok.

While this book was emotional and heartwrenching, and I liked it, I felt that some details were over-explained.
Quite a lot of narration and not much dialogue in parts.
The narrators' voices were amazing, though, and suited the characters. I often find the voices don't match the characters' personalities, but these did.

Emotional

I didn't like Cy at all in the beginning of the book but as the story went on, I started to understand why he was the way he was. Eve was much more forgiving than I think I would have been and way too nice. Cy didn't deserve her at all. The story held my interest pretty well. Charley and Tor make a great team and did a good job bringing the characters to life.

Tough subject but well done story

Wow, this was a tough subject. My heart broke for Cy (and like the Eve, I really wish I could hit Cy’s mother). It was well done with Eve being such a strong character. Cy too, had to survive through such pain and when he was younger, he bullied Eve. However, when they were older, Eve saved Cy and they developed a strong relationship. I loved reading about their relationship and how they stuck together to overcome the evil in their lives. Also, Parker as a side character is great- he started out a bit of a player but grew emotionally. The author really shows the pain of a person who has suffered from unimaginable pain. While this is a story, I’m sure there are people who have to deal with this psychological and physical pain and the author did a good job bringing that to life.

I have the ebook but i also listened to the audiobook. It's a duet, featuring both Charley Ongel and Tor Thom, who are great. Nice voices, good control of their voices in order to play multiple characters. The only thing is that I feel like Charley’s microphone was a tiny bit staticky and maybe a little distant, especially in the beginning. It may have been my headset but Tor Thom’s voice sounded more clear. But this didn’t take away from the story and their narration.

What a fantastic emotional book.

Incredibly written, such a great emotional storyline. This will make you look at life in a whole different light, which is why I love Michelle’s books. I’m looking forward to Parker’s book.

New To Michelle's Work

I got the audible version of Where I End by Michelle Dare, it is my first book by Michelle Dare.. is also my first book Narrated by Tor Thom and Charley Ongel looking forward to hear more of their work soon..

This is a hate/love story .. Everything starts when Cy and Eve where in school.. Cy was not nice to Eve during those years, he was constantly bulling her making fun of her and hurting her.. she really went through a very hard time.. and to make matters worst Cy was the popular guy around the school, every body wanted to be him and every girl wanted to do him and that made it worse as it made Eve an easy target..

Years went by when finally they meet again under very extreme circumstances.. circumstances that change everything between them .. Cy doesn't want Eve to know his truth, he doesn't want her near, he doesn't want Eve to know how broken he is.. he wants her to walk away but Eve won't move and won't leave him after seeing him like this so broken and lost..

Is not until Cy starts talking and being honest with Eve that she realize, why he was always like, why he kept hiding his suffering, his pained and hurt behind that mask of a strong and bold man.. because he also didn't had an easy life.. his mother never protected him, his father passed away and his stepfather was and evil man who inflicted so much pain in Cy's life.. He is the root of Cy's broken sole..

Love can Conquer all and Eve made this happened .. no matter how many times Cy wanted to kick her out of his life so he won't taint her with his past.. she won't leave, she wanted to help him. she knew he needed her and she wasn't going anywhere .. because her place was always next to him .. the man who hurt her but at the same time the man who made her feel alive...

An emotional roller coaster

I read Cy's story last year and fell in love with it. Hearing the voice of Cy was amazing, the timbre of his voice sent chills down my spine. Ms. Dare's characters experience a lot of emotional upheaval in the course of the book. I love the reversal of the man saving the woman we see so often in books. It's nice to see a woman, who is stronger than she believes she is, take on a volatile situation and save the day. The characters are likable and realistic. The circumstances they find themselves in are emotional and heart-wrenching. Having a narrator give voice to Evie and Cy heightened the emotional level of the story for me. This book continues to be one of my favorites.

Wow...just wow!

This book is INTENSE! I tend to lean toward light hearted and this was the exact opposite. It is a heavy story. Some of the content was hard to listen to yet it I couldn't stop listening. The main character Cy is broken and tortured. Lucky for him he is saved my a girl from his past who he used to pick on in high school. She gives him support and strength no matter how many time he pushes her away. My favorite character though had to be their mutual friend Parker, solid guy I wouldn't mind having on my side. The whole story was pretty emotional but the ending was what led me to shed a tear or two. Enjoyed the narration as well. For me the narrator can make or break a book. Even if the story is good if the narration isn't right I won't finish the book. Charley and Tor did a wonderful job bringing the story to life to give me all the feels.

Soooo Good!

Story: The Story told is fabulous! It is a push and pull of emotions. The character development leaves you no option but to fall in love with them. Cy is so broken - Eve is so forgiving and loyal. Together- they have so much chemistry. They are perfect together. It is just sad they have to go through what they do to get their HEA.

Narration: Tor and Charley always give an amazing performance. They are by no means new to me and I love all their work. Always a great production.

Overview: I would happily recommend this book. It was great in all areas and leaves no regrets!

Incredible story! Wonderful performance.

Amazing, amazing story. This has a little bit of everything. Michelle Dare's story will have you crying one chapter and burning hot the next. Nicely done. Tor Thom and Charley Ongel are wonderful. Charley has incredible range. Quite a performance! Tor is the perfect hot, brooding male. Don't miss this one.

Heart wretching and but so good

This story of Cy and Eve was heartbreaking. Cy was bully to her in school. Eve just took it or avoided him. One night she comes to his rescue. As she helps him, he tells her things about his home life and evil stepfather. This story make me cry and mad all at the same time. This was the first book from Michelle Dare I had listened to.

The narrators Tor Thom and Charley Ongel were great as Cy and Eve. This is one of the first books I've listened by these narrators and I am amazed.

Emotional overload

This book is amazing. It evoked so many emotions in me that it was hard to tell where one ended and another began. Be warned, there are a few triggers in this book that may not be for everyone so please read the disclaimer before getting too deep.

The narration was perfect! Charley and Tor do an amazing job bringing out the emotions of the story.

Wow this is a great listen.

This is an amazing story of Sy and Eve, bullied by Sy at school for no reason, when they grow up eve discovers the reason Sy was so awful to her for all those years and she sees him in a different light. Because of this love blossoms but it's not an easy love story because of everything Sy went through he is broken and is so much pain. Eve is his lifeline and makes sure he does not hurt himself. But when the past comes back a terrifying event happens and Sy must step up to save Eve. I did not know anything about this book and I am glad as it was nothing like i thought it was gonna be. The pain when Sy talks is gut wrenching and so sad but Eve is so great at making him believe that things will get better. I loved Parker (Sy's best friend) he was such a great friend to both Sy and Eve he was the voice of reason, I can't wait to listen to his story Where I Am. Charley Ongel and Tor Thom were just amazing I love the duet narration it works so well and they do it with perfection. Charley is so good at changing her voice from young girl to adult her voice is amazing i love it and as for Tor well he has so much expression he got the character of Sy spot on just great. The story is brought to life with them reading/acting it out, I just love them together. A great listen to an emotional story.
