Summary
One lie can destroy everything.
After enduring years of manipulation and an immeasurable amount of loss, Charlotte Kelly makes one last-ditch effort to change her life and try to find happiness again. She knows she'll see him when she moves back to Wisconsin. She's planning on it; the connection she still feels to him after all these years is undeniable. But one lie tore them apart years ago, and she's afraid some mistakes can't be forgiven.
Travis Parker doesn't like liars. When he was younger, lies burned him in a bad way. It took only one summer with Charlotte's innocence to know that she was it for him. When he thought he finally had something to look forward to, one misguided lie shattered everything he believed. Now Char's back, but she's not the same girl he once knew.

Troubled times
Wow a surprise around each corner. I kept saying I didn’t see that coming. This is a really great story and has much content. These characters are really given a lot to deal with and love keeps trying to conquer all. My first from this author but not my last.

Heart Wretching and Spectacular
you will definitely enjoy this book it heart warming heart wrenching and perfectly written with the exception of at times Char just comes off as whiney and extremely insecure narration is good and I think for the characters in this book perfect.

Travis💘Charlotte! Great Story, Great Audible Liste
This book just blew me away, it is a great, well written, well told story. The storylines are realistic and interesting, they not only grab your mind but they grab your heart as well. You can not help but feel for these characters. Travis is has a broken heart, grieves for a life that could have been. He meets Charlotte when he is at his lowest and she manages to get in his heart. Life separates them, Charlotte moves back to finish school and Travis starts to put his life back on track with thoughts of Charlotte in his future. But her life had not be easy and it has left her broken. Circumstances bring the two back together and Travis knows he can not let her go. I loved the chemistry between them, also loved the patience Travis had with Charlotte as she worked out her demons. Anna Brooks takes you on an emotional rollercoaster, there are heart wrenching moments as well as heartfelt one. There is plenty of drama, some angst, twists and great romance. Thanks for this great story!
I listened to the Audible edition, Nelson Hobbs and Neva Navarre are wonderful narrators and voice performers. They bring the characters to life, give them their voices and personality as well as a whole lot of heart and emotion. They are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thanks for this great listen🎧

Why 3 Stars?
I really liked the storyline and it was well written. There were a few too many TSTL moments from the main character and the arguments from her were over the top. Angst levels were bearable and I will continue to read the series as the author weaves the future characters in well. Take away the multiple TSTL moments and this would be 5 stars for me.

Make Me Forget
Great book. I was so impressed with the male lead, Travis. He was just outstanding from the beginning of this story. I loved the female lead, as well. She went through so much loss and then to have someone hurt her- totally messed up her thinking process and her ability to see clearly.
I know this happens to a lot of people and it really is shameful that they feel alone.
So glad they ended up together and the ending was heart warming

A True Read
From the beginning to the very end of this book you could find it believable and factual. It tears at your gut with a myriad of emotions, one minute you can be laughing then the next ready to hit someone then falling in love. I highly recommend this book.
