Summary

An amusing, charming lesbian romance about finding unexpected love inside family expectations.

When Fiona Ng’s best friend, Michael, needs a pretend girlfriend to bring home for Christmas in Arkansas, Fiona girds her loins and steps up. Besides, how hard could one festive family weekend be, anyway? That’s before she meets the boisterous McElroy clan, with accents as thick as a homemade pie crust, and an endless supply of competitive siblings, including Lizzie, Michael’s beautiful younger sister.

Lizzie seems to be everywhere, with her intoxicating scent, wandering hands, lingering gaze, and that bright, echoing laugh. The more time Fiona spends in her orbit, she wonders how she can even concentrate let alone pull off a convincing fake relationship.

Love at Christmas

This is the second book I have read from this author, and I loved it.
It was so well written, it was witty and charming. This is the story of Fiona and Lizzie falling in love in the most awkward settings, as Fiona is a lesbian and she is pretending to be her male best friends girlfriend and attending his families Christmas, but she didn’t plan on falling in love with her best friends sister.
This book was so funny, I laughed a lot.
The narrator did a fantastic job at the different voices and it added to a great story. The story was written from Fiona’s point of view.

Weasley family fan-fic

Charmingly written and funny, this starts as a faux-romance and quickly meanders into a romcom. It's like having Christmas with the Weasley's but with more POC representation. Extremely well-read to boot!
