Story
It was a fun, holiday romance under a moonlit sky. After exchanging passionate nights and only first names, Peyton Watts and Logan Weaver go back to their lives. For Peyton, it’s a return to her steady, conservative social circle and the not unwelcome overtures from attorney Margot Joseph. Meanwhile, Logan’s free spirit is happy again moving with the college crowd. So when fate throws them once more into each other’s paths, it shouldn’t mean a thing....

Homicide detective Mandi Murphy had seen enough bloodshed on the streets of Houston to last a lifetime. After a botched drug bust left a friend dead, she wanted out of the city. Peaceful little Sawmill Springs seemed like the perfect spot to start over. Six weeks on patrol proved the town to be as quiet and serene as she'd imagined.

Cute quirky sweet love story
- By Alice on 10-02-14
Summary
When Laura Fry returns to her childhood home to care for her invalid mother, she hopes the writer’s block that has swallowed her writing career will disappear. She doesn’t plan on turning into a “yard girl” but her mother’s long neglected lawn beckons her to return it to the lush and colorful display it had been before her mother’s accident. She also doesn’t plan on making friends with the “nympho lesbian” next door but she finds it impossible not to watch the parade of playmates the neighbor brings to her pool.
Cassidy Anderson likes pool parties and female company. And while the pool remains the same, the female company changes nearly every weekend. As her mid-40s approach at an alarming speed, she’s still searching for the love of her life. As she finds herself seeking out the company of the cute tomboy next door, she starts to realize that she’s been looking in all the wrong places. Could it possibly be the neighbor who holds the key to her heart?

Loved it - as usual
There is a predictably about Gerri Hill’s novels
- that the characters will be thoroughly likeable. The rhythm of her stories is the same and the conclusions are what one expects from a romance novel but I have loved every one of Gerri Hill’s novels because of the gentle humour, the internal and external dialogue and, again, the wonderful characters.

New Favorite
This is my new favorite Gerri Hill. It is very well written and has a slow build up to the budding romance. It felt more realistic than most romances. It made me laugh and smile throughout. The voice actress was great, my only thing was it was sometimes difficult to tell which character was speaking because she didn’t change the inflections much. Other than that, it was great. I highly recommend this one.

Enjoyed it!
I read the book a few years back. As any Gerri Hill fan, I always get her books as soon as they are out. I loved the book when I read it and although I am not a big Nicol Zanzarella fan, I always think her narration is pretty monotone, it's sometimes hard to distinguish the different characters. But I gotta give it to her for this one, she actually did a good job. This audiobook was better than I expected.

What’s up with all the body shaming?
There are so few lesbian romance novels to choose from on Audible Escapes. Gerri Hill is one of the few prolific authors. But her stories always are a bit out of touch. This was a nice story but the body shaming was troublesome.
Narrator was okay, a little too breathy for my taste.
