Summary
An older alpha with a taste for bad decisions. A kinky omega who’s up for anything. An app that brings them together.
Ramiro Danner has been around the block more than once. He’s tired of playing around, but this alpha has a weakness for younger omegas who aren’t interested in anything more than a fling. Ram never expected that agreeing to be a guinea pig for a new dating app would be anything more than a disaster, but when he meets Erik, all of that changes.
He was looking for someone to teach him how to play rough, he never expected to lose his heart.
An omega who will try anything once, Erik Bailey is looking for new experiences with no strings attached. When Erik agrees to help test out a dating app, he has no idea that what began as a kinky adventure will turn his world upside down.
“Almega pairs hard to love alphas with their perfect omega match!”
Just as Ram starts to believe that the app had actually worked, Erik disappears. Can these lovers find their way back to each other without damaging everything they have, or will Erik’s stubborn streak cost him more than just his heart?

Ok omegaverse book
This was a short-ish omegaverse book. The plot is not really nothing new, but I enjoyed this nevertheless. Narrator was ok and he did the hot scenes well!

May-December MM romance
Okay story. I didn't the narration matched the characters.
I found that a couple of the voices were too similar, and Eric's voice sounded like a California surfer dud. The entire time I kept picturing Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure every time he spoke.
And the ending. Well. No one could have seen that happening. I mean NO ONE.

Nice
A nice distinction between the characters which is always hard to achieve with so many main characters. A fun read with plenty to keep you entertained

Grew on me
I thought at first that this story was going to be about Erik and Dexter because it took a while for Ramiro (Ram) to be introduced. Then it took further time to grow to like Erik as a person and a love interest for Ram. Unusually for me, I didn't read the book beforehand or as I listened, and I wonder if part of the problem is that I didn't originally like the voice of Erik. It seemed a bit Shaggy from Scooby Doo, Man! However, as Erik matured, so did his voice. Kudos to Randi Johnson for managing that.
In the end. I was invested in both Ram and Erik as a couple and in their HEA. I will definitely be going on to listen to Book 2 with Dexter and Book 3 with Tyler.

as great as the ebook
The story is always full stars, because if I wouldn't like the story as ebook, I wouldn't listen to the audiobook.
The performance from the narrator is also very important for me. I can't listen to a lot, because my English as a non-native-speaker isn't so perfect to follow a whole story over hours, when the narrator speaks too fast or too sloppy. Normally I have to SEE the person, who is talking to me in English. Randi Johnson is one of the 4 narrators (so far), I can listen without break and have no problems to follow. And really, his SEXY VOICE is something you DON'T want to miss!!
I'm just not yet finish with the book, but I listen enough to give a review.
PLEASE READ MY RATING SYSTEM!!!
To my ratings:
5* - very very good
it's like an A+
4* - very good and will be often re-listening
it's like an A
3* - it's more then a one-time-listening.
it's like a B

Omega Dating Agency Book One
Omega Dating Agency Book One.
Erik Bailey begins his first day at a coffee shop with a push to try a dating app. Ramiro Danner isn't looking for a one-night stand. He wants it all-love, marriage, children. When Erik and Ramiro meet for their date, they click. However, Erik has learned from experience that staying in one place for too long is a mistake. When Ram wakes up to find Erik gone, he knows his hope is gone too. Circumstances beyond their control push them back together, but can they make it any longer?
If you're looking for a story where the special characteristics of the book (i.e. m/m, mpreg) are just a side note, this is the book for you!

didnt like Eric's voice!
I was gifted the audio file of this book.
When I READ a book first, and then LISTEN to a book after, I can split the story from the narration and write a bit about the book and then about the narration. I have not READ this book, only listened, and so my review lines might blur a little.
Eric is drifting through town, but needs a job. Landing said job at a coffee shop puts Eric in contact with *someone, I forget already who!* who is developing an app to match Alphas and Omegas. Eric is an Omega and just wants some fun. Ramiro is an Alpha but he wants to settle down. He does have, however, a soft spot for drifting Omegas who just wanna fool around. When the app pairs Eric with Ram, they both decide to run with whatever happens between them. Something spooks Eric though, and he leaves town leaving Ram heartbroken.
I have not read anything by these authors before and I enjoyed this book but think I might have enjoyed it more had I READ it, rather than listened.
Randi Johnson narrates. His voice for Ram and the others are very fitting for their characters but I found Eric’s voice far FAR too young sounding. I know he is SUPPOSED to be young, but had I heard that voice I would have pegged it as a teenager’s voice, a young one at that. It was really off-putting at times and I very nearly gave up. I was, however, more than half way through so I persevered and did finish it.
The reading voice Johnson uses is a bit higher than I usually like, and coupled with Eric’s squeaky voice, it made for a bit of a struggle for me, and my shitty hearing.
The general story line moves fast, it’s a short book (140 odd pages, 4 hours and 29 minutes listen) so things would go quick, but I didn’t find they moved TOO fast, you know? Just right for this book. It’s sexy in places and emotional in others. It had me giggling in places too.
I have book two to listen to next, and that is a different narrator. Be interesting to see how the voices cross over.
3 stars for the book and 3 for the narration.

Too scared to let love in!
It's been awhile since I've enjoyed an alpha and omega book this much. It started out cute, then it became sweet. Erik frustrates me so much and I felt so sorry for Ram. He deserved so much more than he got from Erik. Overall it was a fun mpreg romance with light BDSM. Randi Johnson's narration was spot on for Ram, Erik, Leo and the rest of the characters, he made it a pleasure to listen.

The right match
I enjoyed Erik and Ram's story. Erik appeared to be a young, silly, surfer type since he wonders around without a plan to support himself. Ram was older and more sophisticated. Erik proved that when he left for several months without a word to Ram. Together they actually made a good couple once Erik came to his senses. Plus he dealt with what could have been a really difficult time in his life. Then there is Leo/the matchmaker. I would think that Leo would be in each book. This book is a good start to the series.
Randi Johnson did a great job with the narration. He used a more sophisticated tone for Ram and a surfer type tone for Erik. He clearly differentiated between all of the characters.

the way they talk.
I don't know who it was but one of the narrators really exaggerated the he talked to other people in the book, I felt that the story would have been better if he never would have done that and kept talking the same way in head, like in his head the narrator voice was fine but then he would speak to someone and be all sarcastic. It just ruin the story for me. that's all I have to say besides that. I truly think that the story could have been really good.

Wonderful story!
Ramiro Danner (Ram) is a hot Alpha who owns a construction business with his best friend. Having been used too many times to count, he has given up on finding his perfect Omega. Erik Bailey is a young Omega, interested in hooking up with an older man to experience new sexual delights, is not interested in a committed relationship. Both agree to help test out the new Almega dating app, sparks fly, and the rest is history.
The Bates brothers have created a wonderful story. I love the premise of the dating app to bring Alphas and Omegas together for a meaningful relationship, not just a hook-up.
Randi Johnson did a superb job, as always, of narrating this book. I literally felt the pain Ram experienced at being constantly used by Omegas only interested in his money, and his hesitance at putting himself out there again. I could hear Erik’s laid back, flippant personality in the voice Randi gave to him, but could also feel Erik’s yearning for something deeper.
I enjoyed this book and am looking forward to the next in the series.

Quirky, but the narration....
I enjoyed the dating/ relationship concept. The twist near the end through me for a loop; not sure how I feel about it.
By the 2nd chapter, I paused to make sure this narrator/ the character Eric wasn't in the next book in the series. I would have stopped that soon because I absolutely could not stand it. What was supposed to be a California surfer accent (?) sounded like the character raising his voice/yelling and...oh, I can't explain it except to say it was nearly impossible for me to finish just due to that voice.

Really good!
A really good story and narration. The only thing I didn’t quite like so much was the omega main character’s voice, but that didn’t impact the audiobook as a whole. If you like books with a free spirited omega with a little bit of kink thrown in, you will likely enjoy this audiobook.

Excellent narration
I’ve been lucky enough to listen to a few books narrated by Randi Johnson and I really enjoy them, I also think he gets better with every book.
About the story, mpreg is not really my jam, so my rating has more to do with my preferences than with the book itself.

Almega, an online app matches an unlikely pair
Couldn't say it better...An older alpha with a taste for bad decisions. A kinky omega who’s up for anything. An app that brings them together..Ramiro likes younger omegas but finds they just want fun and his money. Erik is a young omega out to find himself and have some fun. Can a match on Almega ultimately be the right choice for them both? I have fallen in love with audible books. The allow me to listen while working on my artwork. This series looks to be very entertaining. As always, the Bates brothers have come through again with great characters and story line as well as selecting a good narrator.
