Who killed the Mayor? It’s up to the Marlow Murder Club to find out …

Geoffrey Lushington, Mayor of Marlow, dies suddenly during a Town Council meeting. When traces of aconite – also known as the queen of poisons – are found in his coffee cup, the police realise he was murdered. But who did it? And why?

The police bring Judith, Suzie and Becks in to investigate as Civilian Advisors right from the start, so they have free rein to interview suspects and follow the evidence to their heart’s content, which is perfect because Judith has no time for rules and standard procedure. But this case has the Marlow Murder Club stumped. Who would want to kill the affable Mayor? How did they even get the poison into his coffee? And is anyone else in danger? The Marlow Murder Club are about to face their most difficult case yet …

Cosy Crime at it's best

After accusing everyone I thought it was going to end flat. Always more to it in the last hour or so. Didn't see it coming. Roll on the next one.

Fab Three

Brilliant and I love these three ladies. I hope the series continues! Such great twists I was guessing until the end. I love the characters and how they go well together and have enjoyed their unique friendship through the books and mysteries they solve together. I’d love to be part
Of their group! Great book

Ok- nice. Characters

Nice characters but this one - despite detailed plot was rather plodding . Bring on the travel sweets!

Excellent story

I’ve read the previous 2 books in the series and really enjoyed them. But I think this book one is my favourite of them all. Excellent reveal at the end.

brill

this is the 3rd book in this series. I really like the characters and the stories. I particularly enjoyed watching book 1 (the Marlow mystery ) on TV drama last week. Samantha Bond was good casting. Becks and Suzie weren't as I had pictured them though. I hope there's more books in this series.

love the way, there's little nuggets of information, that you keep thinking they've forgotten, but it all comes to a great conclusion

Another brilliant story in the series

I just love these stories. Quaint, funny and with a whole load of twists and turns. The narrator is just completely perfect too. Can’t wait for the next one out next year.
