Summary
Secrets of the past hold the key to the future.
Joseph Bridgeman is now an official member of the Continuum, a group of time travelers that heal the past to protect the future. When a rare focus object is stolen and put up for sale, Joe jumps at the chance to retrieve it, but a simple auction turns into a dangerous new mission that takes him farther back in time than he’s ever been before.
Alone and unprepared in ancient China, Joe must not only complete the mission, but also unravel the mystery of a secretive organization known as Extempero. Who are they? And why do they seem intent on destroying everything the Continuum has achieved so far?
When all hope appears lost, an unexpected ally helps Joe unlock a unique form of time-travel loop that sees him flung into the past yet again. Caught up in a shocking natural disaster, Joe must face a terrible choice, a decision that will have far-reaching consequences for the Continuum and a delicate future that hangs in the balance.

A match made in heaven!
Ray Porter brings so much life to this amazing series written by the fabulous Nick Jones. When you get so lost in a story you don’t even notice the bath water has gone stone cold, and you’re holding your breath between sentences, then you know both author and narrator have done an exceptional job of transporting you to another time and place (pun intended.) I just have to wait a year or so for the next instalment. **Big sigh** Back to reality in the meantime ;)

Oh no! There are no more to listen to!!!
So Iv listened to all 4 of the books on this series. I never questioned if I was going to go to the next book! If there was a 5th then that would have been my next listen…
Narrator- Ray Porter has a soothing beautiful voice. His worldly accents however are terrible! When he talks as a woman, it’s really bad again! But yet I keep listening…
Story- this one felt different to the first 3. There was a slowness to it, but looking back quite a lot happened and it was crucial to the story line to back up certain traits of time travelling… but sadly there were some occasional moments where is drifted off and had to rewind the chapter… that never happened with the first 3 books.
But the stories have me hooked. And I await a 5th eagerly…

Brilliant
Loved these books. I cannot wait for book 5. They are such a page turner so to speak. Excellent narration too. Definitely recommend it.

Fabulous!
Again this book did not disappoint and I’m so sorry that there isn’t a #5 for me to listen to now. The narrator did not disappoint either and I hope Ray Porter returns! Actually I hope the series continues what a fabulous story! Thank you Nick Jones for endless hours of entertainment!

Nick and Ray have surpassed themselves
I really think with this fourth book Nick has outdone himself. The scope of the storytelling and the excellent reading by Ray make this one of the best books I've listened to for a while.

love these books
I have just binge listened to the 4 books one after the other
Absolutely loved them
Ray Porter is a fabulous narrator and I couldn't care less that he's American .. I loved his voices and characters.
My favourite genre of books and I can't wait for more!

brilliant storytelling 
Great plots line and twists and turns. I love time travel books and films ever since I saw the time machine by H G Wells. Wonderfully descriptive writing and a real page turner.
