Summary
USA TODAY bestselling author Kimberly Belle returns with a deeply addictive thriller exploring the dark side of the digital world when a mommy-blogger’s assistant goes missing.
When Alex first began posting unscripted family moments and motivational messages online, she had no intention of becoming an influencer. Overnight it seemed she’d amassed a huge following, and her hobby became a full-time job—one that was impossible to manage without her sharp-as-a-tack personal assistant, AC.
But all the good-will of her followers turns toxic when one controversial post goes viral in the worst possible way. Alex reaches out to AC for damage control, but her assistant has gone silent. This young woman Alex trusted with all her secrets, who had access to her personal information and front row seats to the pressure points in her marriage and family life, is now missing and the police are looking to Alex and her husband for answers. As Alex digs into AC’s identity–and a woman is found murdered–she’ll find the greatest threat isn’t online, but in her own living room.
Written in alternating perspectives between Alex, her husband, and the mysterious AC, this juicy cat and mouse story will keep you guessing till the very end.

Thank you.... kind-of???
I have been in a terrible book slump... one dud after another lately, and this book, or at least most of this book, got me out of that slump. For that I am thankful. This story captured my attention right from the beginning and held on. HOWEVER... You know how some books aren't so good, but in the last hour the author ties it all together and makes it all seem worth it??
This book is the exact opposite!
Without giving anything away, this book was pretty good until the last hour or so.... and then it was all down hill for me. I was super disappointed with the ending, and although I appreciate having something interesting to listen to for the past few days, I can't say I'd recommend it.

Twist and fun ride!
The Personal Assistant
By: Kimberly Belle
A social media mother has millions of followers until one day a post goes viral! She had an assistant to help her since her social media and life became hectic.
When Alex discovers the post and looses tons of followers she realizes she was hacked. Her friends, followers start to question her ethics. She cannot get ahold of her assistant and she is the only one who has access to all her accounts/images.
Written in multiple perspectives between Alex, her husband and former assistance AC. This novel takes you on one wild ride! Who is lying? What secrets will come out? The past hardly ever stays in the past. What could each of them be hiding? Sometimes what seems to be perfect if far from it!

Strong storyline with Predictable Parts
The performance was good. She did an amazing job with accents, inflections, and pivoting from Character to Character.
I liked the storyline which had me guessing or second guessing what I thought I knew. I loved and also hated the characters at the right moments. I’d definitely recommend.

Entertaining throughout - until the end.
This was very captivating and kept my attention throughout. But the ending felt like a let down. The pieces were all out together too quickly and lots of events were left unaddressed. Like what happened to the woman in the bathroom office? I feel like the author thought the book was getting too long and tried to wrap it up fast.

Consider me a fan.
For her first novel by her I've listened to, it won't be the last. Starts out slow, but gets going fast. A lot of twists and turns. Very well done narration as well. Writing style is excellent.
