The laugh-out-loud best seller is back with the only book to buy this Mother's Day. Perfect for fans of Outnumbered and Carole Matthews, Fiona writes about life as it really is. Forget about having it all. Sometimes you just want to leave it all behind. Audrey is often seized by the urge to walk out of her house without looking back - but she can't possibly do that. She is a single parent. She is needed. She has a job, a home, responsibilities...and a slothful teenage son's pants to pick up.

Meet Meg Monroe, the fixer. If you want to get rid of someone, you call Meg. (No, not like that - this would be a very different book!) Using her brilliant intuition, people-reading skills and with masterful manipulation, Meg befriends her mark and tells them what they want to hear, using it to convince them to see the error of their ways. She's never once found a case she can't handle - affairs, clingy former-friends, useless employees and exes that can't take the hint. But when a blast from the past turns up on Meg's doorstep, will she get caught in her own web of lies?

Surely it is time to make a change and do something different for a while? The fact that she may also see Alec, the young man whom she met some years previously and whom she has always thought of as her ‘one who got away’, is of course purely incidental. Funny, heart warming, exciting!
This is the second book of Maddie’s that I have absolutely thoroughly loved. She has such a way of transporting you right into the middle of the story and it really is such a well written book. In parts, I actually thought I was in the market in Rhodes or walking next door to knock on Theo’s door.

Very enjoyable
Loved this story about the challenges that can be faced as you get towards older age but still have so much life to live , the need for love and friendship, wanting to really live and not accept the mundane.
I laughed out loud and got quiet invested in the characters, wish there was a sequel.
A well written book with unexpected happenings in a fabulous location, I shall be reading more by this author, highly recommended .

60 is the new 40!
Chic lit, easy read about someone of 60 finding their mojo. As a 61 year old who travels, has a fun life and is fit and healthy, the perception of age and the old woman achy bits didn’t really ring true. However, I really enjoyed the story and the descriptions of Rhodes old town made me yearn to visit. I found the nasal , whinny voice of one of the old ducks, just didn’t match her character and that Theo, whose personality seemed
extremely likeable, sounded like a dirty old man! Overall though- I will real more by the author and narrator.
