Summary

After the death of her father - Pa Salt, an elusive billionaire who adopted his six daughters from around the globe - Tiggy D’Aplièse, trusting her instincts, moves to the remote wilds of Scotland. There she takes a job doing what she loves: caring for animals on the vast and isolated Kinnaird estate, employed by the enigmatic and troubled Laird, Charlie Kinnaird.

Her decision alters her future irrevocably when Chilly, an ancient gypsy who has lived for years on the estate, tells her that not only does she possess a sixth sense, passed down from her ancestors, but it was foretold long ago that he would be the one to send her back home to Granada in Spain.

In the shadow of the magnificent Alhambra, Tiggy discovers her connection to the fabled gypsy community of Sacromonte, who were forced to flee their homes during the civil war, and to ‘La Candela’, the greatest flamenco dancer of her generation. From the Scottish Highlands and Spain to South America and New York, Tiggy follows the trail back to her own exotic but complex past. And under the watchful eye of a gifted gypsy bruja, she begins to embrace her own talent for healing.

But when fate takes a hand, Tiggy must decide whether to stay with her newfound family or return to Kinnaird and Charlie....

Not the best of the sisters’ stories

I feel Lucinda Riley is running out of ideas as she reaches the last two (known) sisters. The Scottish story has a ridiculous plot and the Spanish one is not really gripping compared to the stories of the two eldest sisters. Both stories have too much mundane detail and stereotyped characters. And in the storyline which connects all the books you can’t help but question the motivation of Pa Salt in taking Tiggy away from the relatives who obviously loved her and wanted to keep her rather than giving them the financial assistance that would have made this possible. And why would he not have let them keep in touch with Tiggy over the years rather than only letting her find out about them in her mid-twenties by which time they might well have died? Pa Salt’s manipulation of the females in his life, including Ma and Claudia who are acting pretty shiftily back at Atlantis, is beginning to look quite sinister!

Disappointed

I looked forward to this new book from Lucinda but found the story line a bit tame. Im still not sure why she is called the Moon sister. Anyway not up to the usual intriguing storyline......

Truly terrible accents!

I've listened to all of the Lucinda Riley books and was so looking forward to this, but the narration is so bad that I'm just about to return it for a credit refund. So disappointed 😞

Disappointed

I was so looking forward to this book, but was disappointed.
I struggled with the past story from Spain, and the hours of information about the dancing, and so many characters, which in my opinion were unnecessary. The present day story was more interesting.

Struggling

I’m really struggling to get through this tedious story with a narrator that’s grating on my nerves! I’ve tried to return but Audible is not letting me.

Very disappointing from the normally brilliant L. R.

Very confusing story ant as for the very odd ending suddenly jumping to another story. What and where are the other stories of the same series. Found the reader very heavy going. The sudden ending with another character was so confusing and random. Sorry L R I love your stories but have struggled with this.

Wonderful

I adored this book in the sister series. Great storyline, just enough historical details and great narrator. A++

Narrator has a stuffy nose!

Granted, I’m only 5 Chapters in, and not only is the story dreadfully slow to pick up...the WORST part is listening to the narrator. I feel I need to give her a decongestant or Afrin! Very annoying, especially since I’ll have to listen to it for another 17 more hours!!!!
I love this series so far, and was looking forward to this release...very underwhelming so far!

Eager anticipation disappointed

Sadly not up to the standard of the series. Predictable, plot too simple, very disappointing.

Disappointing

I wanted to like this story - but I couldn’t finish the book. It was too disjointed. The dialog was cheesy. Didn’t sound natural at all. And it was all made worse by a narrator who could not produce a Spanish accent. Not her fault, but strange choice for a book that is half set in Spain. I think I would have enjoyed the book when I was 13... but not now.

Love this series..... but

I so wanted to love this book. I had been eagerly waiting for it. I'm sorry but something about this one felt rushed and formulaic. It was predictable and just failed to captivate the way the first four did. Story lines felt rushed and undeveloped as did the characters. Previous books are full of interesting and complex characters and how their lives intersect become part of the developing story. Not this time. Even Tigi, the main character failed to develop fully as had "sisters" in the previous books. It was more akin to a dime store romance novel with a totally predictable outcome. Nothing wrong with that, I suppose, but disappointing when you are expecting so much more. Yes, I await the upcoming story of Electra. I hope Lucinda has her mojo back. While the writing style was lovely as always, this story just failed to satisfy.

Please find actors who can do the accents properly

If a story takes place in Spain, why not find an actress who can do a proper Spanish dialect? The story was wonderful and although Imogen Wilde did a great job with the Tiggy parts, I wish they had found a Spanish actress for the rest of the story. I immensely enjoyed everything else about the book, but that took me out of the story.

overall same story

I have been enjoying the series. However, the last book and this book are just more of the same thing as the first 3 books. I'm done with this series. I don't need to hear the same thing again.
