About this listen
Phoebe Henderson may be single but she sure doesn’t feel fabulous. It’s been a year since she found her boyfriend Alex in bed with another woman, and multiple cases of wine and extensive relationship analysis with best friend Lucy have done nothing to help. Faced with a new year but no new love, Phoebe concocts a different kind of resolution.
The List: 10 things she’s always wanted to do in bed but has never had the chance (or the courage!) to try. A bucket list for between the sheets. One year of pleasure, no strings attached. Simple, right? Factor in meddlesome colleagues, friends with benefits, getting frisky al fresco, and maybe, possibly, true love and Phoebe’s got her work cut out for her.

Funny love story
Struggled with the narrators voice but the story was quite funny even if a bit predictable in the end but worth a listen while working.

don't listen on a speaker !
I really enjoyed this book and I feel like I know Phoebe personally. The narrator helped to bring her to life. The pace was good and erotic content was sometimes a bit out there for a prudish me but I throughly enjoyed it still. loved the ending and such a good chick lit!

struggled with narration
I have to admit I very nearly swapped this title within the first 10 minutes I found the narrator off putting although the story turned out to be quite enjoyable

Hysterically funny- loved every minute!
Would you listen to The List again? Why?
I did listen to it again - it's that funny! Needed a good laugh and this delivered one hundred percent!
What was one of the most memorable moments of The List?
It was all memorable as the main character works her way through "the list" had to ration myself as didn't want it to finish. Was sad when it ended! Hope there's book 2
Which character – as performed by Caroline Guthrie – was your favourite?
The the characters were good they leapt off the page for me and the narrators comedy timing makes this book. I just loved it. Loved the main character wish she was my friend as so warm and funny!
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
The ending, it was predictable but a nice way to end the book.
Any additional comments?
This book is eye wateringly frank to the point of being a bit too much at points so it's not for everyone BUT young women in their 20s-30s will identify with it as it taps into themes of love and loss, gives hope to those going through a breakup as the main character decides to embrace her single status and enjoy it instead of moping! the narration of this book was excellent and is why I listened again because it had me in hysterics! Great book I just loved it!

Girlie yes, but great humour & tips for Blokes
Damn what AN AWESOME READ!! It's not the kind that'll mesmerise you keep you reading till you drop cold - no, it was I book I chose to savour. I'd happily read it a few times over. This book got me giggling and even laughing out loud in public and everywhere!! I will not drop any spoilers, at all; simply know this: it's about a progressive young 30's woman writing an account of her new year's resolutions for the year ahead. We go through her life based on the hysterical details she writes in a journal such as those about sexual encounters, Stuart's bottom and other things, making it an extremely light , very soft porn. Hazardous pointers only relay to bad food cooked by one Lucy. It has the sexual tenacity of Sex and the City, but with the reality of an everyday single woman trying to get it right - the 'it' being very girls dream: a handsome bloke who's not only great in the sack, but a soulmate too! Set up mainly in the cosmopolitan city of Glasgow, and bringing in other parts of Scotland, this book is undoubtedly fresh as the Highlands air and is quirky, young, sexually appealing with every possibility that it could have actually been someone's real life journey. It appealed to me most because it reflects a common point in every woman's life when we seek to re-identify and reconnect to ourselves, when we seek to stop being the giver of sexual pleasure, but seek also to be the recipient, when we seek to actually stop faking it and, actually have orgasms. But it's also a book about the importance of having true friends and making some, albeit unexpectedly, along the way, and having a support network to help you get up when you've fallen.
This is supposed to be Joanna Bolouri's debut I believe. I pity her only because she;s set the bar really high on this. but with kind of wit and excellent book-writing abilities, I think she will come at us with another prizewinner. And yes, THIS IS a FANTASTIC book to be made in our own movie, even series!!
The narration I must add, was fabulous!

laugh out loud funny
One accent not great but other than that a hilarious listen. If swearing & sexual content offends then this isn't for you but I don't know when I last laughed as much as I did listening to this. Entertaining from start to finish.
