About this listen
An assassin with a secret. An angel with a strange power. A war that threatens to destroy them both.
Cora is an assassin who never misses her mark. But she has a deadly secret: Her blood can create the most powerful magical elixirs in the world.
And she's been hunted for it her whole life.
When a powerful demon blackmails her, threatening to expose her secret, she has to do one last job to buy her freedom: Kill a Nephilim named Vince. Cora figures this will be an easy target.
Until Vince time travels, appearing in two places at once.
Thwarted, Cora must get close to Vince so she can learn the secret to his strange ability - and finally kill him once and for all.
But the closer she gets to Vince, the more her icy heart begins to thaw, making way for new emotions she's never felt before.
As she falls for him, her secret is exposed, igniting a powerful war between demons and Nephilim. In the end, Cora must choose between her own survival and preventing a war that will tear the magical world apart.

The Demon's Kiss, Well Worth The Listen!
This was my first time reading a book by R.L. Perez and it won't be the last time either! "The Demon's Kiss" was enjoyable from page one. I was originally drawn to this book as it's a nephilim and demon tale. What will keep me coming back is the writing. The characters are vividly written and the storyline has layers of complexity. I cannot wait to get my hands on the next book in the series!

Intriguing Story
I enjoyed this. It's a unique story with a half warlock half angel and a blood with assassin from a demon coven.
I liked the characters and the story kept me entertained.

Fab first in series.
Started a bit slow but was so glad I kept listening. I loved Cora from the start you could tell she was going to be a force to be reckoned with. Even though she’s sent after Vince she knew there was an ulterior motive why her boss wanted him dead and she set out to uncover it and uncovered a bigger conspiracy than any of them could have imagined. Alyssa did a great job narrating and I can’t wait for book 2 .

Supernatural romance, great action & time travel
I found this book a little more difficult to get into than the earlier Caster Chronicles, I think because the heroine of this story is very different from the previous two series. However after the first chapter I was hooked again.
Cora is a witch with special blood; it is magic and makes the most potent potions in the world. She is constantly hunted for her blood and so she had to teach herself to fight and became the assassin for the demon gang boss Damien, but Cora wants out. He will only release her if she does one last job: kill Vince, a half nephilim, half warlock.
Vince is very unsure of himself, his magic and his place in the community of nephilim. By accident he discovers that he can time travel, but struggles to control this and his other powers. His 18th birthday is close and he must swear allegiance to the Nephilim or be cast out and while he isn’t comfortable with making that choice, he also knows that his father’s future in the community depends on him swearing in.
Cora’s and Vince’s lives become intertwined on a number of levels and the demons and nephilim around them are not as they seem and all have secrets and agendas of their own.
Love, friendship, betrayal, murder and unexpected twists unfold and R.L. takes us on another rollercoaster of action and drama and with a satisfying conclusion, but not and ending to the story.
The narrator of this audio-book is Alyssa Ratkovich. Her pronunciation is clear and concise, and she has a pleasant voice. Alyssa made an effort to change her voice with the characters, but I found the male voices all sounded gravelly, deep and slow and were often too similar for a clear distinction.

Next chapter
This book starts a little slow. Once you get into you are intrigued as to how it will play out. You get a lot of questions answered but are left with a lot more. There is no cliffhanger just more of a next chapter.

Great first book of a series
Really enjoyed this first book. Good strong characters and great story. Found myself putting it on in the house while doing thing. I almost never do this. My only criticism would be it is abit short, and moved at a fast pace. thought it could do with slowing down a getting abit deeper in to some parts. but this would just be a minor criticism. Overall would recommend.

Time travel makes a fascinating ride
Time travel is fascinating and has my brain trying to work out what if? How did that happen? I love the ride that came with following the characters.
Nicely read and left me wanting more.

Great start to the series!
The Demon's Kiss, the first book in the Bloodcaster Chronicles, is a wonderfully written paranormal/urban fantasy romance. This was my first R.L. Perez book, and I was taken aback by how much I liked her style. Her world-building is creative and plot, intricate and contains a myriad of otherworldly creatures. The storyline is engaging, unpredictable, and adventurous, with plenty of drama, suspense, action, murder, danger, betrayal, and unexpected twists and turns. I'm definitely looking forward to listening to the rest of the series and can't wait to find out what's next for Cora.
Alyssa Ratkovich did an excellent job with the narration. Her reading was well-paced, clear, and portrayed the characters nicely. Overall, The Demon's Kiss was an entertaining and enjoyable paranormal listen, one I'll recommend.

What an amazing start
Great start to this supernatural romance series! It has it all: cool and kick-ass FMC, sweet and loyal MMC, super-annoying and condescending villain, action that makes you want to keep listening (I almost listened to the entire book in one sitting) a great take on the different supernatural species, oh and, did I mention timetravel? Yes it has timetravel too! It will leave you wondering sometimes, but I felt the author did an amazing job tying up all the different travels. This is my first book by this author, but definitely not the last. I really enjoyed the world-setting, and I absolutely loved Cora and Vince. Cannot wait for the next!
The narrator did a great job, she was very easy to listen to and did well when doing Vince's voice too.
