About this listen

Finding my husband in bed with another woman was not how I planned to start my day.

Or homeless the next minute. And broke.

So, when a job comes my way from The Twilight Hotel—a paranormal hotel in midtown Manhattan that serves as a sanctuary and residence—I take it.

Cue in tattooed, sexy as sin, grumpy restaurant owner Valen who can’t do drama or high-maintenance women. The problem? He’s cruel and dangerous.

And he’s hiding something.

Rumors arise of a dark spell that would mean the hotel's closure, and I don’t know who I can trust. Do I have what it takes to fight this new evil? We’ll see.

Brace yourselves. It’s going to be a bumpy ride.

The Starlight Witch is perfect for fans of urban fantasy, mystery, slow-burn romance, and humor. Get ready for this heart-pounding and laugh-out-loud magical adventure!

A Darker But Emotive PWF Read and Listen!✨️🧙‍♀️

The Starlight Witch: Witches of New York, Book 1
By: Kim Richardson
Audiobook 🎧
Narrated by: Annalyse McCoy
Length: 7 hrs and 29 mins
(Read Using Kindle Unlimited)

This is a new to me author. I quite liked the writing, world building, and character development they used. The book did feel quite a lot longer than the 32 chapters it is, though.

I may well return to series once I've cleared other books that have been sat on my tbr pile for ages. Because as enjoyable as it was, I don't feel compelled to finish the series immediately!🤷🏻‍♀️

I thought the narrator did a great job. Her characters voices were easy to distinguish, and her cadence was pleasant!⭐️

storyline was interesting and kept you guessing but the narrator was excellent, her voice alone kept you interested in the story

Easy Reqd

Just enough drama to keep you interested. It's a little annoying that the MC keeps repeating what her magic is, but not so much that I wouldn't read the next book.

brilliant story

I absolutely loved this book. It's a really enjoyable paranormal murder mystery. I loved the fact that Leanne, the leading lady, was in her 40s, with an actual career and real life experience. The story moves along at a rattling pace but never feels rushed. The supporting cast are really well written as well, and you cant help feeling for Jimmy (iykyk). There are some unexpected reveals as well, which I won’t spoil. I cant wait to read book two, and see what happens next for the residents of floor 13 of the Twilight Hotel .

The audio version was brilliant as well. Annalyse MaCoy really brought the book alive, giving a wonderful depth and reality to all the characters. Cant wait to hear her read book 2.
