Frustrating read

I was determined to finish this book as I try to complete what I start. The child Ruby was described as a naughty spoilt child and the parents let her behave how she wanted blaming themselves. Yep. Letting kids use lipstick on walls isn’t at all an issue ! No boundaries needed folks!!!!!!!!??????? So it spoiled the story completely and all I was left with was, I’d never get that time back I’d used to listen to it on audible. Sorry. Not for me

Christmas Indeed

lovely family story set around 4 women traumatised by their past and struggling with their present circumstances. As always with Sarah Morgan a well told tale with a happy ending for all. Really well read too.

Lovely but dodgy narration at the beginning

I nearly gave up on this audio book because of the poor narration at the beginning but that either improved or the story gripped me so I didn’t mind!

Great story as expected from Sarah Morgan.

Perfect Christmas book

I wanted an easy heart-warming seasonal read for over the Christmas period and this book fitted the brief perfectly. The characters won my affection with a back story strong enough to provide a plot that kept my interest. Of course the ending is predictable but I’d have been disappointed if it had been any other way! As a Scot I wasn’t in the least put off by the Scottish accent used (which was soft and gentle) and the narrator did a great job of making me warm to all the characters and of bringing the dialogue to life. Thanks for a lovely Christmas present!

Brilliant

This is my first book by Sarah Morgan and it was a delight. I loved each of the characters and the author portrayed them each so well, one could never mix them up. Mandy Weston, the reader was exceptional. I've never heard her read before and found her to be excellent in the way she used different voices for each character. This makes a huge difference in an audio book as you get to picture each character by the sound of their voice. An excellent read

Super!

Really good book! Addresses slot of common fears and emotions is a heartwarming and huggable way... easy to relate to all the characters in so many ways! An enjoyable commute!

Accents

If you are Scottish, the native accents in this are dreadful ... I could not bear this book and sent it back. Utterly ruined this nice but insipid story ...
