Excellent 3 books in one purchase

I’m working my way through this series, and the 3 books for the price of one, is brilliant.
I’m loving these stories and characters, it feels like we know them for real! 😊
The only problem I have is the narrator repeatedly saying
‘he said’ ‘she said’ ‘whoever said!’…. When most times we know who’s talking, it’s very grating and irritating 😠
Apart from that, it’s a good listen!

Development of characters throughout series

Excellent narration and easily followed story line , Some duplication of facts about character's from previous books but not enough to be really irritating.

We need more bodies

Once you’ve read these three books by Sally Rigby you’ll appreciate the title of this review. Great story lines in each book with general features continuing throughout them all. Slightly eccentric characters and a very down to earth detective chief inspector in the lead role I loved the books and recommend

Amazing narration by talented Clare Corbett

Book 4
Even intelligent people can be hoodwinked into believing a simple life is better for you.
As Cavendish & Walker take on their next case, George tries to give up smoking, but will her willingness to help the investigation end her?
Another fabulous book which I thoroughly enjoyed.

Book 5
When a cold case is replicated by an unknown criminal, Cavendish & Walker have to put their professional caps on, even though they are barely talking. Walker’s daughter, Tiffany, confided in George by asking her for sensible advice. This understandably goes down like a lead balloon with her mum.
Another great episode, which I thoroughly enjoyed.

Book 6
Why somebody wishes to kill lawyers in such a brutal way is a mystery for Whitney and George to solve in Rigby’s sixth book of the series.
A tale that weaves its way around many complex characters. Leaving you guessing right up until the end.
The love/hate relationship between Whitney and her boss also keeps the book's momentum going.
I do, however, feel that George and Claire speak to Whitney like dirt, and I’m unsure if she’d actually choose to have them as friends.

it's a bit too linear, predictable and lacking depth.

if you've listened to any of these previously you'll know exactly what's coming. Honestly you can see what's coming from a mile away. one dimensional, predictable characters too. I've tried but have returned this and will look for something else.

Too many "saids"

Good narration but spoiled by constant Witney said,George said, give the listener some credit for following a conversation .
