So glad I discovered this author and this series of books through Audible Plus. This short story is a great introduction to the characters of the series. Despite it's short length it was well plotted and had believable and interesting characters and a story that was engaging and gripping. If this is a taste of what's to come in the series then I'm all up for it! Great performance by the narrator too.

I wouldn't have used a credit because of the length of the story. However as it was part of the plus catalogue I was happy to give it a try.
I am glad I did, I have purchased a lot of Sally Rigby books, they are well written and Claire Corbett is an excellent narrator. I recommend it.

Robotham rip off
So I read The Night Ferry and The Secrets She Keeps by Michael Robotham and this honestly seems like a combination of those two books, The Night Ferry is about a baby trafficking ring investigated by a hotheaded but brilliant female detective and The Secret She Keeps is about a couple, the husband a locally public figure, who have their baby stolen from the maternity ward by a mentally unstable woman who dresses up like a nurse and steals a baby after losing her own, the faked pregnancy, the entire story line is the same. The Secret She Keeps was also made into a tv series and the book came out in 2016, or 2017. I'm a fiction writer myself and I just think it's highly unlikely the similarities were a coincidence.

It’s an okay story and the writing is okay too. Not bad, but also not memorable. I liked the narrator, but had a bit of a cringe moment when she sang ‘baby mine’ and obviously didn’t know the song. Either Google it next time or don’t sing a song if you don’t know the tune, lol.
