About this listen
The complete Carter Legacy audiobook collection in one volume.
Tangle Web - The Carter Legacy, Book One
Cassandra Grayson leads a quiet life managing a library in Queens, NY. There’s only one thing missing...her sister.
Cassandra hasn’t seen her sister since the night their wealthy father died from a massive heart attack. She had only been five years old at the time and can barely recall the events of that night. All she can remember is that men came to the house and that it was the last time she saw her sister.
She hires a private investigator, but he turns up dead. It's clear someone doesn’t want her looking into her family’s past. When wealthy businessman Jackson Evans stumbles into her life, with problems of his own, they realize his family and hers are inexplicably entwined in a web of deceit and murder, spanning two decades.
One by one, everyone who was in her home the night of her Father’s death begin to die under suspicious circumstances. It's a race against time to uncover the truth before she becomes the next victim.
Twisted Ties - The Carter Legacy, Book Two
Chloe Carter has spent the last 20 years as a ghost, hiding in the shadows, letting the world believe she was dead. She was running from the nightmares of her childhood.
Finally able to re-join the with her sister Cassandra back in her life, she desperately wants to leave her past firmly behind her. However, they have two half-sisters, one very much dead, and one possibly a psychopath.
Things are not looking up. Parker Evans, a man whose own father caused her family nothing but pain, refuses to be ignored. She wants to loathe him, but they need each other. They both have secrets, a legacy of misery left by their fathers and if they ever want to be free, together they must uncover the truth.
Blood Ties - The Carter Legacy, Book Three
Katie Osbourne has never thought of herself as a Carter, let alone thought she had two older half-sisters. For the last eight years, all she wanted to do was raise her daughter, Hailey, and try to put her past behind her. Only her past wouldn’t let her go.
With her ex-husband in prison and her psychotic twin sister dead, she’d thought she was finally free. That was until Detective Dexter came swaggering into her life with his vivid green eyes and quick smile. It’s enough to make a girl want what she knows she can’t have.
Part of the past she is trying so hard to run from is tangled up in a sticky mess with his family, and he has no idea. Her violent, dangerous ex escapes from prison, and she finds herself being stalked; she has no choice but to run again.
This time, running isn’t so easy. She must find the courage to tell Dex the truth and stand with her sisters or run. This time with fatal consequences.

Very captivating
I have to admit, I am a pure Stephen King Fan and didn't think that I would enjoy listening to this book, but I decided to go out on a limb and try this book!
I am so pleased that I did, as this book does seem to make you feel that you are in the story as an onlooker, raking up different emotions and testing your detective skills in a way.
I was very sad when I was near the end of this book, I wanted it to continue on a lot longer.
I am very impressed how the Author has intertwined her stories, which lead back to one place.
This is definitely worth listening to and has taught me to open my 'ears' more and broaden my library with different authors, as you never know how good a book can be until you listen on a wider scale.

A very good box set, great story, gripping plot.
A great tale of the Carter sisters. A pity all the main characters were all museum quality human specimens, both female and male, who all escaped injury, except from some trauma, which will be eased by their wealth, of course. All the good folks lived happily ever after and all the baddies are dead or in jail. A lovely story, would have been much better with a bit more of an edge and a bit less fantasy. Still a very good listen

Not exactly what I was expecting.
I bought this after searching for a crime/thriller box set. I don't think it really fits in that category and is really a bit more of a romance with a twist collection. That being said, the stories were enjoyable if predictable. No great literary discovery, but something easy to listen to whilst getting the housework done. One niggle for me was the narrator's mispronunciation of some words - as a professional I would expect her to research how to pronounce unfamiliar words. Epitome and draught are not that unusual but I found myself shouting out loud after she mispronounced epitome for the third time!

Wendy Saunders is a fantastic author. I've read another of her books but with a busy life I decided to try The Carter Legacy on audible.
This was a great box set and I was so addicted to listening to it I finished all three in a week.
I loved the stories with it's drama, twists and turns and romance, it had something for everyone!
I really hope there are more to come.

a story in three parts
very much a theme storyline. nearly all the women were characterised in the same way with very simpering tones. maybe I just don't enjoy American voices so much so am biased. good if you want a light read and if you don't want to think too hard.
