REVENGE
DI Ben Kitto made many enemies in his time working as an undercover officer for the Met police, none more ruthless and calculating than gang leader Craig Travis.
IS WORTH
Travis has longed to make Kitto pay for his role in getting him convicted – and that day has finally arrived. Now, a dark and twisted killer is heading for the Scilly Isles, one who has waited a long time for revenge.
WAITING FOR . . .
With Kitto busy investigating the discovery of a body on the islands and distracted by the imminent arrival of his first child, his defences are down. He has so much to lose.
And Travis will stop at nothing to take it all from him.

The Brutal Tide
An interesting story well told. Maybe the series is becoming a bit samey though?

Gripping
I was in two minds as to whether to buy this book as I felt the format getting “samey “ but this was a great story with links outside of the island which made for interesting listening.
Couldn’t put down.
Very good narration.

Atmospheric
Somewhat predictable but a good plot and great characters - well narrated too. Definitely worth continuing the series.

A great, pacey yarn
I like these books now I’ve gotten over the 1st person narrative, which is a bit annoying. I love the descriptions of the islands, the Cornish names and Shadow. Especially Shadow.

Disappointing
A disappointing departure from the previous books with a rushed ending. Reassuringly familiar with the usual characters and plausible storyline. It just felt that the author did not lavish the same care and attention, speeding up to a mad dash in the last chapters.

What a shame
I've avidly read the other books in the series, happily remembering family holidays on the Isles of Scilly as a child but this book was disappointing. The story was predictable but ok. However, the vocabulary and the writers need to use 5 words instead of 2 to over describe everything was enough to make this the last book I will read in this series. Shame

Easy listen and reminder of the Scillies' beauty
Enjoyable read if youve read/listened to the series and have got to know the characters and have a fondness for the location.
Primary Scillies story not as intricate and intriguing as previous novels in the series.
Secondary storyline is a bit far fetched and the finale is a little dissapointing but still enjoyable.
Narrator is good, but quite a few of the extra characters can sound very similar.
For a fairly nautical themed series the constant mispronounciation of the type of boat, a "bowrider" as in you can ride in the bow (front of a vessel not a bow tie), which the lead character has had for the whole series is getting a bit grating but that's just being picky.
