About this listen
The Killer left nothing behind but a rosary, a kitchen knife, and a dead man. But the dead man is a friend of Sabre Orin Brown. When his unsuspecting wife is accused of the murder, Sabre will stop at nothing to uncover the truth, even if it means unearthing chilling secrets.
From a San Diego jail to the shady Chicago nightlife, Sabre's search for the true killer forces her to face the question: What do you do when the ones you trust the most are the ones with the most to hide?

Exciting and well performed audio book
I have listened to three of the books in this series and this is my favourite so far. Sabre is a great character, although at times it seems as though she has something of a death wish as she puts herself into danger far too often.
The story is a complex murder where a man's wife is accused of his murder, although she claims to be innocent, and Sabre needs to prove that. This leads to a very exciting investigation where Sabre is forced to question just how much she knows about certain people.
The narration is well done and although a little underplayed it nevertheless suited the story well.

In pursuit of justice
A couple on the run from the mafia and all the entanglements they become involved in as they try to escape.
It involves the murder of their friends and the trouble they get into as they try to prove their innocence while trying to hide facts.
This book was well written and had lots of mystery and suspense.
The narration was great and a good listen.
This book was provided free of charge with the expectation of a fair review.

Justice will prevail
I enjoy this book, it is the second in the series and after listening to the first one (and really enjoying it), I immediately started on the second. I did have to check that I had the right one as the heroine suddenly had a boyfriend but once that was sorted and I was straight I settled down to listen. It didn't grip me as much as the first book but by the middle of the book I was hooked and couldn't wait to.see how to played out.
The narrator was okay but a few of the voices she used got a bit annoy, the main character was easy to listen too tho. The use of sound effects (prison door slamming etc.) had me jumping a few times as they were loud and unexpected but on the whole I really enjoyed the book.
