Not bad not the best

Coming of the back of listening to James smith to this it was a hard listen. Matt is a likeable person BUT the book is very much about him and kind of feels like him justifying why he looks like he does and how he’s got where he’s got with a few bits about diet exercise and supplement basics thrown in there. If your looking for diet and exercise help listen/read James smith not a diet book if your interested in Matt and his life listen to this. Hope my review helps

Matt being matt

I've been watching matt on YouTube for some time, I find him very funny. So was glad to see his humour throughout the book along with the genuinely good advice for healthier life.

If you haven't read this book yet, just do it!

The content was engaging, eye opening and I learnt a lot about myself and especially my habits. I'm so glad I got this and I couldn't stop listening to it.

No Nonsense Advice

Refreshing advice on how to live a healthy lifestyle. Matt tells you how it is and dispels all the fitness myths.... Couldn't recommend it highly enough.

I like Matt - but…

If you’ve watched most of his YouTube content over the years this is basically just his educational content condensed into a book.

That being said, he comes across well - natural - just like he does in all of his content.

The book wasn’t exactly revolutionary or anything new from Matt’s usual content but it was good, enjoyable and easy to listen to.

Did it in a oner on a drive from Newcastle NSW to Brisbane Queensland, Australia.

For a tickbox for Matt, it does the job.

But don’t expect it to teach you something you don’t already know if you’re clued up on basic to intermediate training and nutrition knowledge.





Having said that, not wanting to be harsh - because it was pretty good. 4/5 from me

Loved this so much

Enjoyed this even more than I knew I would! Matt delivers really interesting, informative and helpful content in his own amusing style that had me cycling between laughing and feeling massively inspired and back again many times. I recommend this to anyone who enjoys Matt’s social media content and who has any level of health of fitness. It would benefit anyone however advanced in their health journey. Matt - I raise my can of white Monster to you and thank you for such a great listen!

Where is the nearest Mackie’s !

I have a lifetime of trying diets and not achieving… and after each attempt, I seem to add on a few extra more pounds than when I started .. and feel more sluggish and tired as the years are going on, Thank you Matt for your honesty, direction and humour, and the enjoyment of hearing your voice, in this audio book, I related to so many scenarios, I found myself laughing at myself.. and you of course .. lol Thank You .. throughly enjoyed..
