Summary

Forbidden bad boy. Best friend's little sister. An undeniable attraction. He's determined to push her away. She's determined to stay.

I’ve known Gray Baldwin my entire life. He’s an arrogant frat boy with a red Solo cup permanently attached to his hand. And he’s my brother’s best friend.

He’s made it his personal mission to annoy me, and when he sets his mind to something, he rarely fails. But when Gray and I end up at the same college, we can’t seem to stay away from one another.

I’m supposed to hate him, but when I’m alone with Gray, everything changes. It turns out there is more to this boy than I ever knew. Our attraction is something that can’t be extinguished.

But Gray is determined to push me away. And I’m determined to stay.

Tangled is book two in the Willow Springs Series. Each one can be listened to as a complete standalone. A HEA is guaranteed!

Disappointing.

Where to start? Oh, I know. How many times can two people say “the boy” or “the girl” in one book? just ick. Let’s not forget how often these two release breaths they didn’t realize they were holding. Also the story was SO repetitive. I wanted to be done an hour in it was so bad but some how forced myself to finish this book. I didn’t want to waste a credit or return. Aside from the bad story the male narrator was so hard to listen to. Sounded like Batman. But not in a good way. Just save your money or credit. I’ve NEVER left a review before but I just felt the need to let people know this ain’t the book. Female narrator was fine.

Tangled (Willow Springs, #2)

PERFORMANCE REVIEW & RATING: 4 STARS

I enjoyed listening to Virgina Rose’s narration, but I have to be honest and say that Lee Samuels takes some getting used to with his narrations. This is not my first audio narrated by him and it seems to be a pattern with him, so I was ready for it this time, but it still needs to be said. He comes off as more reading than narrating and it can be off-putting. And that’s the story on how the narration of this story lost a star!

STORY REVIEW & RATING: 4 STARS

FULL DISCLOSURE: The whole *best friend’s sibling* angle in a story makes me all kinds of #twitchy but not so much that I won’t read it. See, I just don’t get it. For me, or rather, in my world, I’m an adult, and as an adult, I make my own decisions about who I allow into my life intimately. My siblings don’t get a say so, at all. You wanna know why? Because we aren’t kids, and this isn’t middle school or even high school, and the best friend’s sibling trope just doesn’t ring true for me among grown people. This trope is always going to be a hit-or-miss for me and I never know which until I read (in this case listen) the story. Gray’s incessant thoughts about Gigi being forbidden because she was his best friend’s sister were borderline neurotic and that’s the story of how Tangled lost a star. *shrug*

Now, about the rest of this captivating, push/pull journey between Gray and Gigi. I enjoyed myself (aside from the above-mentioned twitchiness) very much while listening this story. It flowed beautifully and it captivated me to the point that I found myself listening thru an entire workday! Gigi stole the show for me, but I honestly loved everyone in this story. I can’t believe no one has ever put this author on my radar before this! The story had just the right amount on angst without taking it to the darkside and every side character and plot-point made sense and moved the story forward. I’m looking forward to continuing with this series and maybe even reading some of her backlist very soon!

Young love and oh so cute

What an adorable story. I was smiling a lot. This is a new adult best friend's brother's romance. Gigi has had a crush on Gray for a long time and they are in the same university so they can't stay away from each other, especially since Gray was watching over her. This characters felt young- the actions of the characters were representative of their age in the story so it really brought me into the story and setting. But there were deeper aspects, including Gray's family drama, which I identified with, being a child of a gambler. I really loved the interactions between Gigi and Gray when they were friends; admittedly, the push and pull was a little too overdone, in my opinion.

The narration was great overall. I have to say, Lee Samuels sounded a little old for the role but he did awesome. It's just that I felt like he would be best for an older character. Virginia Rose was fantastic as always and I really just overall enjoyed living through this story via the audiobook.

Love Gigi and Gray!!

SO SO GOOD! The narration is fab, and I love the Magic Willows.

Gigi and Gray are so cute to me, and I love how they work through real problems together. Can’t wait for Maura and Crew next!! I’ve already preordered because I love these five girls xx
