Summary

Includes the bonus prequel My First Glance as well as a bonus epilogue!

A one-night stand is supposed to end once the sun rises. Only it doesn’t always work out that way in this opposites-attract-and-tortured-hero romance.

I never expected this.

I didn’t want to go to another fraternity party, but when my friend pulls me in, I somehow find myself hiding in a corner with...him.

Dillon Connolly.

The smirking, so-called good guy with the shadows in his eyes. A single glance, a sweet smile, and I let myself have one night of giving in. Only I have to promise myself not to fall in love. No matter the cost.

I never expected her.

Elise Hoover haunts my dreams more than I care to admit. I never thought I stood a chance - until she said yes.

When a single night turns to two, I know I’m in over my head, but somehow, she makes me believe I can have anything. Until the sun rises, and my past along with it.

I thought I’d run from the problems that could hurt us both, but now I’m falling for her, and I can’t stop. I know I don’t deserve her, but now I have to fight to keep her...or save her from myself.

Fun college romance

One night stand is one of favorite tropes and this was a fun take on that. I’m glad the novella was included in the audiobook as it’s essential to the story. It’s clear this series is a spin off from another of Ryan’s but I was able to fall along fine.

Narration: I love this duo for college romances

Book 1

I enjoyed this story. There are a lot of characters in this book. However I was able to keep up with most of them and enjoy the story. I’m wondering if there are books before this one about Dylons family. There was a shocker in this book. Some life lessons. And a prequel to the next book that is kind of crazy. You want to make sure you have the next book ready when you finish this one. The narration was great!

Wonderful

I loved the premise for this story and I loved the couple. The group of friends are growing closer to each other as the story unfold. It’s an emotional journey and the narrators were brilliant. Can’t wait to dive into the next one.

Loving the start to this series!

Can a one night stand turn into forever? This is Dillon's story and it is full of sibling fun, new roommates, college parties and a girl he doesn't anticipate. Elise is a surprise for him, and when her friends drag her to a party with a dare, these two end up together with the understanding it will one night only. Until, it's not. I love this story for a couple of reasons. Dillon is a great character. A little damaged, but finding his way, has incredible family support and a heart of gold. Elise too, a little sheltered and smothered, but her heart guides her. And the story flows so well as we get to know the roommates, college life and a growing love that shines. It's a wonderful start to this series, and now I can't wait to start to hear Pacey and Mackenzie's story!

Emma Wilder and Tor Thom are a fantastic team and they worked this story making it real. Wilder has a way of finding her heart of her characters and she makes Elise grow through the story. Shy at first, an obedient young adult, and through her voice, we hear the changes. Thom brings out the warmth in Dillon with his baritone and has me melting the first time he meets Elise! He has a style that draws me in and a sound that keeps me there. Loved the performance.

Sweet!

Thoroughly enjoyed listening to this NA college romance. Dillon and Elise were very likable characters, and their romance felt real and sweet. This is a spin-off of the Fractured Connections series (Dillon being a younger brother) which I haven’t read. The author did a great job of having this book work as a standalone, but reading the other series first would provide more background.
Narrators did a great job bringing the characters to life. Looking forward to listening to more of this series.

knew Dillons book would be epic. Was that and more

After the advice he dished out to his brothers it would have to be, but I didnt think it would be as good as it is. I mean he's 20, he's not gonna be falling in love and finding his forever at his age, right? Yeah think again. Carrie Ann Ryan has once again proved I have a feelings and a heart. I am a complete emotional wreck......and I love it. I love how you are so invested in the characters in the book, even the side characters you are eager to read about. I am so looking forward to Pacey and Mackenzie's story, after what she just been through I know everyone will have her back, I know I do. Anyway this was Dillon and Elise story and it was beautiful, fun to listen to but a complete emotional rollercoaster. You'd think I would learn my lesson after years of reading Carrie Anns books....but nooo, I do not stock up on kleenex. Thanks Carrie Ann Ryan for a wonderfully emotional story xx

Fantastic first spin of book from fractured connections series

Book one My One Night in new spin off from Fractured Connection series by Carrie Ann Ryan.
This book is about the youngest Connelly Dillon. He’s gone to Denver University he’s moved in with four other lad and meet the most beautiful woman he’s ever met.
Elise is trying to live a independent life from her controlling parents but after meeting Dillon she tries to balance university, friends and Dillon.
Absolutely loved this new spin off series. I wasn’t sure I’d love Dillon’s story as much because it’s base around 20 year olds but I’m completely invested in Dillon university friends lives with especially Pacey the cute Brooding British which Tor Thom does a great job and the amazing Emma Wilder.
Carrie Ann Ryan does such a fantastic job getting people to be completely invested in characters lives and make you love them laugh and cry through these books.

Like a warm blanket

This one for me had so many beautifully written emotions and things happening I wanted to wrap it around me like a warm blanket. It also holds your attention very well due to the Captivating storyline and well written characters I can’t wait for the rest of the books in this series. Strongly written and narrated left me so very glad I listened to it
