Summary

Getting lost in the woods was never this much fun.

When Hans Jager and his sister, Greta, have to return home for the holidays, the last thing he expects is to run into his childhood best friend, Chester Wild. Even more surprising is when Chester pretends to be Hans’s boyfriend to protect Hans from his wicked step-mother’s wrath. Seeing Chester again makes Hans realize that he might feel more than just friendship, but can he risk spoiling what they already have?

Chester has always loved his best friend. But Hans is straight, right? When they find themselves stranded in the woods, everything changes, but for how long? A dark family secret could undo their magical reunion, and Hans is feeling more lost than ever. Could Chester be enough to guide him back to true love?

Sweet Tooth is a steamy, stand-alone MM romance novel featuring a scrumptious sweet shop, slow dancing to Elton John, an explosive family dinner, a loyal puppy, a very naughty use for candy canes, and a guaranteed HEA with absolutely no cliff-hanger.

Fantastic Interpretation ❤️

Helen Juliet has written a fantastic retelling of Hansel and Gretel with her usual spin on the classic tale.

I loved the characters, and the storyline is unique to the original tale, but so endearing and brought a tear or two to my eyes😢😢

I absolutely loved it 😍

Kieran Flitton does another amazing job narrating this audiobook and bringing the characters to life 🥰

Highly recommend!

5🌟’s for definite ❤️❤️

Best yet!

Story: Helen Juliet has been working through her fairy tale retellings for a while, but this one is the best yet! The author took the plot of the tale and twisted it into an incredibly emotional story of childhood friends becoming lovers, of a family being reunited after years of estrangement and of healing painful wounds. I cried, I laughed and I swooned. This means that was a job incredibly well done!
Narration: Kieran is a master. He fits Helen's stories so much it's incredible! Brilliant!

Super Sweet Fairytale Retelling

This is a retelling of Hansel and Gretel (one of my favourites). Hans and his twin sister Greta return to their village Gingerbread where Hans finds love with his best friend Chester. The story is a sweet and sometimes intense Friends to Lovers and I loved the way Helen adapted the story, although I will never look at a candy cane in the same way. Kieran is a new narrator to me but I loved his narration and the way he brought the characters in this super sweet story to life.

sweet and wonderful!

I'm loving these fairytale adaptations by Helen and this one surprised me. I never really thought much about Hansel and Gretel but this was so cleverly done you can pick up all the hints and parallels while still reading a new story. you can tell so much love goes into creating these stories and I will admit to a few teary moments while reading this one. Everything I've read by Helen just has this special magic I can't explain. I'm always enthralled by her writing and enchanted by her stories.

Hans and Chester are so sweet together and I'm always a sucker for a second chance romance and this one is so wonderful, sweet and a little bit naughty 😉 I love the kinky inclusion of sweets, very nice touch. I just loved it! I can't wait to see which fairytale she's going to tackle next!!

Great listen

Sweet Tooth by Helen Juliet is a modern MM romance spin on Hansel & Gretel. The story starts when Hans Jager and his sister Greta have to return home for the holidays. There he sees his childhood best friend Chester. I loved the story of Chester and Hans. It was sweet, sexy, hot and very well written.

I liked the audio, the narrator did a great job.

How sweet it is

Oh wow, the tangled webs deceit & assumption weave around us! This was a very entertaining and surprising tale of friends to lovers & wicked evil wenches & stepmothers. I adored this story, it was angsty, fun, cheeky, HOT, kinky (light) and so very satisfying at the end! Great job!
And as for the narration: OMG I am a fan! Kieran Flitton is spectacular! I will be diving into his offerings on Audible, looking for more aural gems! Fantastic work. The pacing, emotions, tension, passion, it all comes through loud & clear in the performance! Wonderful

Sweet story!

The retelling of Hans and Gretel story, with Hans and Chester as the main couple takes a very naughty turn. The best friends to lovers troupe I liked as well as the family get together. I enjoyed all characters and the book in general which has a very good performance in the narration by Mr Flitton.

Sweet tooth

Thank you for the ARC, I voluntarily give this ARC an honest review. Narrator Kieran Flitton did a wonderfully sweet read of the old tale brought to life with a few twist. Hans had left everything behind him when him and his twin sister was pushed out of town unfortunately that included his best friend Chester.
Chester about swallowed his tongue the day Han's walked in their old haunt the sweet shop that an old crone ran, lovely lady really (haha) the mayor's new wife wasn't going to be to happy to see the twins returning.
What a sickly sweet but steamy hilarious listen with all the different personalities coming through.

Sweet Tooth

The narrator made this one for me. The story was good, and I liked the characters. There were some things I found off-putting, mainly in phrasing, especially in the more steamy parts. Overall, a good listen that I’d recommend.

d

Helen Juliet does it again with this wonderful take on the Hansel and Gretel story. I love fairy tale reimaginings where I can try to spot allusions to the original story and here those are mixed with the friends to lovers, gay awakening and second chances trope. Hans and Chester have a lovely connection as friends and it just gets better as that develops into something more. To top it off, we have one of the most evil step-mother's you'll find and I love a great villain. There is some angst when this evil woman springs a surprise on the guys, but watching them overcome the obstacles is heartwarming. This is how fairy tale takes should be done! Kieran Flitton has done some wonderful for this author in the Rosavia series and other books recently, but his performance here is something extra special. He sounds like he's totally caught up in the story and living it with the characters. The evil characters voices just drip venom and menace and the progression of Hans' and Chester's relationship from friends to lovers is perfectly conveyed in his voice. A perfect match of author, story and narrator/performer.
