Summary
Hamish Kenneally is moving from Australia to the US for a fresh start, beginning with Christmas at his sister’s place in Idaho. When a snowstorm diverts his plane to Montana and leaves him stranded two days before Christmas, he hires a car and drives right into a blizzard.
Ren Brooks has always called Hartbridge, Montana, and his family hardware store, home. After a few failed attempts at love, he’s resigned to being single forever - after all, no guy wants to stay in his sleepy little town for long. And after his dad’s passing earlier in the year, Ren’s Christmas is looking bleak. But when a car runs off the road in front of his property, Ren pulls the driver out and takes him home to get out of the cold.
With the storm and the holidays leaving Hamish with nowhere else to go, Ren kindly offers a place to stay. Hamish is certain he’s crashed right into a Hallmark Christmas movie, despite more car delays and road closures and the prospect of not seeing his sister for Christmas. And with help from Hamish, Ren is beginning to feel a little Christmas cheer.
These two unlikely strangers have more in common than they first realise, and after two days of Christmas decorations, cookies, and non-stop conversation, it looks like Christmas might be saved after all.

Brilliant storyline, amazing MC’s so sweet and great humour too.
First time I’ve heard Glen Lloyd, but such a great narrator!
Amazing voice, love the Aussie accent, and deeper tone of voice - sooooo swoon worthy 😉😁❤️

Christmas in July
A Christmas in July and it was perfect in the hot weather. A lovely story full of romance and just what we expect from N R Walker ❤ The only downside was it came to an end 💙 well narrated which must be difficult with two accents.

It was sweet
This story was sweet, but a little dragging at times. There was unnecessary extra detail which took me out the book and was a bit dull. I find N.R. Walker books a mixed bag. Some are amazing and some are a bit fluffy and lacking depth or emotional connection. This fell into the latter category. Compared to most M/M books out there this is still a great book. The sorts of ones I love are Evolved by N.R. Walker, and books by Lily Morton, Alice Winters, Tal Bauer, Maz Maddox and Sarina Bowen.

loved it
Its seriously so good, all sugar sweet with little to no angst. My only gripe (little teeny tiny gripe that was actually kind of amusing so not that annoying) was that the narrator (who is native Australian so I can't fault him too much) mispronounces one of the city names (Spokane Washington).
But I highly recommend this story, I loved it. And parts of it were REALLY funny!

A very cute gay romance
its nice to listen to a well written often laugh out loud gay romance. If you've watched Legally Blonde or Shitts creek you will get a kick out this book .Kudos to both the author and the voice actor. he made the characters come to life.

Very Sweet Story
That one MC says "it's like I've been dropped into one of those Hallmark movies" is an accurate description. The characters are charming and funny. The story is very sweet. There's some heat but its ancillary to the character development.
have to say the the narrator could have been better. One MC is an Aussie and everyone else is American. But you can't tell the difference from the narrator. He has pleasant voice and pulls you along in the story

so much fun!
the perfect Christmas story! I love these types of holiday books just beautiful and sweet and not heavy on the extracurricular. I just want a beautiful simple story of two people who were meant to be finding each other at the right moment.

Uhmmm....
I'm a fan of NR Walker. I've read and/ or listened several of her books. However, there's so many stereotypes in this book that it's cringe-worthy. *smdh* The narrator isn't bad but he doesn't help with the mis-pronunciation of words when he's speaking for Ren, the American. However, if I was into the book, I would abandon the audio and just read it. But, no.
Unfortunately, this is a DNF at the 50% mark.

❄ all the warm fuzzies ❄
Would I listen to it again: yes
Did the story keep me engaged: yes
Was I invested in the characters: yes
📖 A cute and entertaining story with an easy pace and low drama. The characters are likeable and their story was entertaining. I enjoyed the way Hamish would "translate" an Australian word into American 😆.
🎧 Glen Lloyd's narration just keeps getting better. I had no problem distinguishing characters his rhythm, tone and inflections have done a good job bringing Tic-Tac Mistletoe to life. I can't comment on the authenticity of his American accent, but I had no problem with it - it sounded genuine and worked for me.
How does it rate on my NR Walker "feels" scale: 2

Candy cane sweet
Adorable holiday story. Glen Lloyd does an awesome job switching between accents. Zero angst and very low heat. Lots of holiday sweetness, even in February.
